LOL...now this is getting funny!!! I think i'm going to order, and start wearing, Leg-Warmers...Yes Triman, I am a 'maniac' on the dance floor. AB - you became the dark angel with Goth-style clothes as your uniform of 'outsider' culture, while i'm just some free spirit that dresses weird.
BTW, i'm going to see Steely Dan tomorrow night. I love that these old 70s/80s bands are still going on tour, but back in the day it was about $10 for a ticket, now it's $80...OUCH!!!

Just FYI Tony, did you know that I had NO IDEA what 'goth' was until about a year or so ago. I didn't know it had a name. I have been wearing the same stuff (yeah, mostly black) since 1979. I found out that 'goths' supposedly like death-metal and Marilyn Manson ( I hate both). So that just puts me the equally weird free-spirit category as you. I do, however, like Joy Division (does that make me 'goth'?) and I still love the Grateful Dead AND Stevie Ray.

'As she gave away the secrets of her past/ she said, I've lost control again.'
Joy Division is uber, primal Goth.
Or Bauhaus. Or early Ministry; 'Every Day Is Halloween being the great Gothic anthem.

There is a journalist in South Africa with the name David Bullard. This weekend I realised he reminded me of Tony. Here is a pic of him.

LOL......I look like THAT dude? I've been told Alice Cooper for years, and i've always been a little insulted, but this Bullard guy makes the Alice-similarity sound HOTT. AB - And you look delicious in BLACK!!! hehe I went to a Grateful Dead show years ago with a buddy who was total Deadhead. I never found them particularly great, but the crowd was more than more the price of ticket. Steely Dan tonight...lotta baby boomers reliving the 70s!!

RIP Ian Curtis (it will be 17 years on May 18). As for Bauhaus, oh yeah, I love them too....even if Peter Murphy pulled a Cat Stevens and became a whirling dervish.

Yes, the 70s had sooo many very original sounding bands, like Steely Dan that i saw last night. In the 70s you could hear Boston, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kiss and Steely Dan on the same radio station. You could never do that now. Steely is such a mix of complicated jazz arrangements, R&B, pop and rock. BTW, they were great...the band was so damn good made me jealous, and we were very close, so it made it even better.
