I think almost all devs here are attracted to vulnerability over strength. At least that’s my impression. I’m happy to be corrected if wrong Based on what I've read here over the years, I don't think that's the case. It seems the majority are attracted to things like adaptation, resiliency, overcoming difficult circumstances etc. (which are great traits obviously, they're just not really the source of my devness). I'll admit that I've sometimes wondered whether this impression comes from the fact that it's more socially acceptable to be attracted to things of that nature than the things that are "wrong" with a person. Maybe there's more devs like me out there that are just afraid of expressing it. I am one of those people attracted to these traits you mentioned: adaptation, resiliency, etc. but I am also struck by vulnerabilty. It’s not the idea of being weak or fragile as most people think. Maybe my idea of vulnerabilty is different (or not) like things you cannot change or avoid in your life but being affected by them.

I can totally relate to this "frustration". At first, I could put myself into the "box of devs". It was before I knew more about me and my feelings and read more about people here and their stories. Since then, I've been feeling so similar but so different at the same time. I catch myself thinking if what awakens my feelings also relates to someone else or if I am the odd one out. I also think my pwd is hidden/lost somewhere else.

can't argue with you, in my experience/opinion. The not leaving the house, yeah totally. I don't know anyone, nor have I ever seen anyone, where I live in wheelchair and everything unless the elderly. So that really makes me not want to go out, the awkwardness of people being uncomfortable around someone in a wheelchair and whatnot. I don't know what I was going to say but if the same thing on both sides of the yard... Like you said...
