So I couldn't help but notice that 8 of the 10 most recent posts (the only way I ever keep up with what's going on here) were made by wheelers. That got me thinking - I wonder if dis guys actually make up more of the member population than devs....
I bet it's a strong possibility considering how few devotees there really are, especially ones that even know about this site.

Yeah, I wouldn't doubt that either; we're talking about a very select amount of people (Devotees), and then a sub-section of that population (female Devotees), and then, of course the select population that can identify among Devotees, and then the sliver of that population that has come to Paradevos, there's much more of a chance of a wheeler guy (even as a minority of a population we are, there's still plenty of us for what it's worth) of searching something to the effect on Google that would lead to this site.

I feel that for every wheeler there should be a dev to match. Start the FUCKING cloning!

this place has long been a sausage fest. but it may be that males just have MORE TO SAY in this kind of forum than do females. it's that male sense of entitlement; we just feel very confident about making noise. note how very little activity occurs in 'devs only'. but i suspect that there are a lot of lurkers, and these lurkers may be devos. my 'roll call' thread has over 350 hits in 6 days. SOMEONE is reading.

But I realized that out of that 10 posts there's one proposition for nude pix, a wheeler who thinks devs jump on every guy with wheels and one who has at least 3 login names (Did anyone else notice?). So devs being outnumbered here might not even be true. Hear hear! LOL It's also up to the devs to actually say something. Wheelers might be outnumbering devs and might be posting more frequently, but if we want to keep this board alive and dev-oriented it's up to US to do that. We have our own space and we don't even use it. That's not because of an overrun of wheelers.

I'm certain that the majority of members are wheelers on this site & even if you break it down to the members who have logged in & posted recently then wheelers will outweigh the devs.If you were to compare the active members now to the ones who will still be active 6 months from now,I think the proportion of devs & wheelers will be closer. The motives of wheelers & devs are very different( I dont need to say what they are,I think we all know ).A large number of wheelers find that out quite quickly & lose interest. Good point from ukquad about making the site only viewable for members. It think it would deter people from signing up & might stop its target audience from finding it ,but if there were some sections that only members could view it might give more devs the confidence to join & post. The mods might not like to hear this but if they were to PM(sorry mods you might not need the extra work!) all the devs (& wheelers?) about how we can bring more devs into an active participation of this site ,then they can come up with a few ideas in complete privacy? Only a suggestion ,completely ignore it if you want to. ;D

Just so people understand, this is the nature of the world. Bars have 'Ladies Night' to pull the females which pull the dudes. It's the premise of Hooters, strip bars and other joints. I think it must be aggravating to girls at times, but there's perks, too. As for PD, I think there's def more chairdudes than Devs, but there's a LOT of Devs that never seek out a forum on internet to become a member. I'm surprised there's a forum at all. i do hope we don't scare Devs off coz we verbalize more. Personally, I think there's decent conversations that explore areas of Devs that maybe they never considered. IDK.

So, do the ladies want the guys to either not post, not post as much or flat-out leave?

Personally, I don't want you wheeler regulars to change a thing. I'd like more dev participation in addition to yours, especially the devs only section.

I like it just as it is. That's why we created the "devs only" section, right? In case we do have something to say that we don't want wheeler feedback on.

And I don't often check the devs only section, because at first, I didn't think nondevs were allowed to read it, and then I found out that anyone can. I've never had anything in mind that I wanted to post in the devs only section, but if I did, I don't think I'd want the wheelers to read it or post about it. I can't recall who it was and it doesn't even matter now, but Claire posted a topic in the devs only section, only to have a wheeler basically repost it in the general board. If I wanted something to not be commented on by the wheelers, there's no way I'd post anything in the devs only section now. That's very true. Even if it's not "reposted", the subject (intriguing for wheelers, not just "girlstalk") will come up again. I sometimes had wheelers sending me PMs about what I said there, which I didn't feel comfortable about...
