Yes yes, just saw "Murderball", but honestly, where are all the good gimp movies? Not just "ooo look at Johnny cope with his new disability", but movies that have gimps in them. *sigh*. BTW, this is the kind of question I tend to ask after a glass of wine.

I went to Blockbuster and said to the poor geek clerk there: "Tell them Rory o"shea was here." He looked at me expectantly. I repeated, "Tell them Rory O'Shea was here." Finally, PGC said, "Isn't Rory a funny name for a girl?" "It's the name of a movie." D'oh. - But yeah, I'm looking for it, thanks

The DaVinci code should be coming out very soon. In the book the character "Teabing" used braces and crutches. Problem is, I think he turned out to be a bad guy. I wonder how he will factor into the big screen version. In the book he is described as portly, red-faced and balding. Unappetizing at best.

One that I love is "The Men" with Marlon Brando. It is a very old movie, but really good. They even show his leg spasming, which I haven't seen in other movies.

Movies... hehe... why not just get yourself a real "gimp"? because its hard enough to find a compatible mate ... to actually find one with wheelchair included is like finding a damn needle in a haystack! a lesser known movie (probably) is called 'live flesh' by pedro almodovar. i love his films and this particular one has a subplot with javier bardem playing a para. it's spanish with subtitles. and 'the men', as vivi mentioned, is another good one...marlon brando when he was young and cute. i still love 'coming home'. jon voight when HE was young and attractive! (hard to believe it when you see him these days)

Thanks for the link, Jennie! It was my original intention to create a database of books and movies on the paradevo site. Because I've been busy I haven't updated it lately, but I will get to it soon, and please, the rest of you are welcome to send in your own reviews and recommendations. Mentioning it on the board is great, but things get lost after a while unless it's on the main board. I just watched the movie Freak City, thanks to whoever recommended that a while back. Peter Sarsgaard as a quad, woo hoo!

I used to rent the movies whenever I felt the need to fulfill my para fetish. It makes me sad that I can't get those movies anymore since all the current ones are on disc. They used to have the oldies (Born on the 4th of July, Coming Home, Waterdance) on tape. P.S. I don't subscribe to NetFlicks.

What do you all think about opening an extra section on the message board for all the movies? Something like that is really missing on this site. Of course a data base would be even better, but it's a lot of work - and on the message board the workload could be shared if everyone participated. Dunno, something like just posting the title and a review of a movie, and others could comment on that...

Sigh... does anybody actually go to the webpage anymore? www.paradevo.net/movies.htmlLinks right off the main page, people. I think everyone can agree that I'm usually pretty good about posting stuff that gets sent to me. If you have a movie you can provide a little review for, I'll post it on the page. Please don't just send me a title though with no info at all.
