Oh. Yes. Sadly back country NZ isn't super accessible, but I do know of 1 private track, the Humpridge Track, that is, and should be albe to chopper you up and down some big hills...accessible huts, too. But all the cities are good too...I'm especially biased to one in particular, though And, um, thank you for not pretending to be an Australian?

That's ok we're all entitled to our opionions. It's just the last time I was there I was an AB and you don't really take notice of accessibility issues. I'll be going to Napier so if you know anything around that region?
No worries, I'm torn in the middle of the two so I go try to remain as impartial as possible lol.

Napier? Sh*t. Well, it's pretty flat in the town proper, and there are some really amazing vintage shops (so I've heard, I like the idea more than the reality), and they are huge on their Art Deco history. I haven't spent much time there, though. It's worth a drive over to Gisborne if you miss roads with corners! But it is a really beautiful drive. Gisborne proper is pretty average, but some beautiful spots and beaches, and that feeling of remote east coast is pretty awesome. Yay for trips There is no such thing as an impartial Australian. (jk)
