Hey Ruth, I sent you an email on that matter. Didn't you get it? According to a computer whiz friend, "the toc.ncx file was all addresed to the html 015 that is, the last part of the book". But don't ask me what this means.

Oh, I didn't see it! I'll go back and look.
I upload in Word, not html. I don't know any html.
HOWEVER, I reuploaded and it appears to be working now! I don't know what changed, but I believe the problem is fixed.

Hi Ruth! the TOC is working correctly in the version I bought yesterday! Thanks for all your hard work. Sorry I have been out of touch for so long. I have been busy with writing university assignments instead of stories. Have been procrastinating on tackling your translation as well - sorry about that. I'll see what I can do later in the year. Oh and BTW I really like Faster.

Whew. Sigh of relief.
Thanks, RyooT, I appreciate the compliment. Faster is a very different story for me, but I'm fond of how strong the narrator's voice is.
We have one review up and it's rather negative, so I'll second Lee in saying that if anyone is brave enough to leave a review, it would be awesome to get some more voices and points of view on there.

I just took a look at the Amazon page for "Devoted" - I like its cover; it is simple and powerful and a good way to incorporate the wheel and the crutch in the title! Who draw this cover?

I just got my copy. Table of contents is indeed working now. Thank you Ruth for all your hard work. I really liked the story Faster too--it's a big jump forward for your writing. I'm really impressed!
Lee, thank you so much for saying such nice things about me in the introduction. It's a great history of the website and message board.
I did see the negative review, and I thought it was a bit unfair. Yes, there are a lot of short pieces this time, rather than two novellas. On the other hand, almost all the content this time is brand new, whereas those novellas had been posted on the website for a long time before being put in the book. I would write a review myself but I'm not sure if I should because I have a story in there.
BTW I thought my story was going to be at the end with all the other dev memories. I hate to complain after you all worked so hard, but it feels a little out of place in with the erotica, since it isn't fiction--it isn't even about dating a wheeler. I wonder if that's part of the reason the person said the collection feels choppy.
Oh and Paris, I'm so glad to hear the book is what led you here. That's what it's for!

Lee did the cover. I think it's so brilliant! Love it. That cover is for the ebook version, the print version has a "park safe" cover, but this cover on the inner page so you can still enjoy it!

Thank you so much for the compliment! I hope I can live up to it The funny thing about this story is that it is the remnants of the first story I ever wrote. I started writing about these characters when I was 12 and I thought it was going to be a book. I got to about 25 hand written pages. Over the years I've pared it down more and more and more distilling it into what it is now. It's probably my favorite piece of anything I've ever done. I was surprised with the review because I think Devoted is stronger than Paradox (nothing against Paradox!). It feels of an overall higher quality and consistency to me. Personally I feel like the Devo Diary works just fine where it is!

The ebook cover is included within the paperback, just not on the front! That way you can read it in public without embarrassment
