Wow.. Going where the fence is the lowest. Yes it sucks. I don't know where those places are but if you can't do stairs you're screwed! Maybe on your butt for some of you if it's really vital. ?

It's much safer to go down the chairs with your chair, if you can do it, than try something stupid with ramps like these. The steep ramp in picture 2 is screaming for an accident to happen.

All three of those are bad, but I don't get the impression that the first two were intentional (more like poor planning when they realized that they didn't have a ramp) The third one, however, is unacceptable...

I cant help but think that these were not intended for wheelchairs. I mean number 2 is verrrrrry narrow..not only steep. But if so, then what would they be for?

Makes me think of the ones you find in the metro/subway in Paris. They're for suitcases with wheels. Never tried them so I don't know how useful they can be, especially this one...

I am surprised how lenient you all are. I am not disabled neither have disabled friends . I just always have been sensitive to wheelchair accessibility. From the country I come from it was very poor, almost non-existent as if PWD don't exist. Luckily enough I heard it's changing now because of public and political mobilisation but I was noticing those things decades ago and it used to anger me a lot. I guess it was already a dev empathetic concern at that time ;)However I think those 3 pics are a disgrace and a lack of respect to PWD. It looks like a bad joke. To my opinion they initially built those ramps, maybe for law-related obligations or primarily well-intentioned, but they didn't think any further or they simply didn't care it couldn't be used the way it was stupidily done P.S : On picture 2, I assume there was initially a ramp but they added a wall right on top of it and even included the railing in the addition. You can see some remains at the bottom!

What a shame. So ridiculous ! The thing I immediately noticed is how much of a skate boarder's wet dream these photos are. Incidentally, I would SO fuck around on those ramps/stairs, looks like an obstacle course almost!

It can't be anything to do with disabled access, the skateboard park makes more sense.

If I go somewhere and they don't have ramps, I won't stop, I keep going. There was a shop in downtown (I live in a small town) and there was no ramp. We don't have too many people in chairs here (or if we do, I've never seen them). A friend of mine asked me why I have never been to the shop. I told her 'There's no access ramp. how is someone supposed to get to the shop if they are in a chair or have to use crutches, and can't use the stairs?" needless to say, she is in a pretty high position in the Town hall and got access ramps installed. ;0 Pretty cool shop now.
