A new year, a (couple of?) new tattoo(s?): for my right upper arm I am planning to have a Kitsune (fox from Japanese folklore) origami (combination of geometric and traditional Japanese styles) designed. For my back, just under the shoulderblade, I would like to get a traditional Japanese style Geisha. So expect more pics later this year...

Tomorrow I'm getting another one: a Kitsune mask on my right upper arm. Kitsune (fox) is a figure of Japanese mythology and serves as messenger from Gods to mankind. When a Kitsune wants to reproduce, she transforms into a beautiful woman, often a Geisha. After seducing a man, she will turn back into a fox and the man, left behind, often has such difficulties accepting her departure that he goed crazy and kills himself...

   Nice to see people's tats! I have both upper arms covered and my whole upper back. Both arms have the same design, however the checkered flag banner that runs through the design has different words on each arm. The left arm says " Attitude is Everything" and the right arm says "To Hell and Back, 2-25-01". My upper back is a large zipper going down my surgery scar which "opens" up my back with the large checkered flag banner that says "Pain is an Illusion". This pic shows only about 70% of the work that was done. P.S. please forgive the duck face, I did it to look stupid and believe I achieved my goal lol. |

Just posted about my new tat on another thread and then remembered this one! Thought I'd share more in depth here.
I've been wanting this one for years now and finally got it. I absolutely love it. Its on my upper arm and runs about the length from a couple inches above the crease of my inner elbow to the top of my armpit.

For those curious about the pain, this one felt totally fine for the first 3 hours but the last hour hurt like a mofo... Not gonna lie. The spot right above my inner elbow hurt the worst. It was just hitting right on some nerves or something lol.
It's inspired by a song by one of favorite artists, Elliott Smith, called "St. Ides Heaven". This is on one of his earlier solo albums when his sound was a bit more minimalistic and raw. He can be an acquired taste for some but for those who are not familiar with him, he is very loved and adored by us fans... He had a huge impact on us and music in general (he died way too young in 2003). Backstory of how this song relates to me and all that is pretty long and drawn out so I'll just post the song lol.

Aww thanks Sir Paul !  I remember you talking about maybe getting a small one  you totally should! Honestly it's kind of fun. Like when I was getting this one I got kinda high off the endorphins and was laughing/giddy... Then I chilled out and got super mellow which was awesome. Sadly after that I just felt normal and it got super painful haha. But it took several hours to get to that point, so if you got something smaller I'm sure you would just experience the cool part lol. You should totally do it!  |

Maybe you got high off the ink fumes? You do make the experience sound intriguing. I have 4 but only have pics of the one for now. I got this one last year in honor of one of my favorite bands, Sabaton. They're quite honored but sadly none of them have gotten their James tattoos yet.  As you can see, as the hair on my head retires it moves south  Fuck it, here's a full titty pic  |
