PERISH THE THOUGHT. Tell me about it. The worst is being within view of a major brewery and still paying $20 for two of their pissy lights. On rare occasions, I've found places where you can hear the show quite well without actually entering the arena. So you can find a comfy spot to hang, bring a cooler, some friends, and maybe even a Jersey Mike's Sub. I prefer the Philly cheese. There are worse ways to spend an evening. This man holds his Jersey Mike's subs in the highest regard! Beer has hit the inflation market a lot harder than my drinking days of getting 12 Natty Light bottles for $5.99

At the Houston Rodeo I saw $27 for a plastic "souvenir" cup of beer. $22 for regular cup. Neither cup was very big...

Speaking of beer, I remember my mom controlling the attendant drive joystick in the rear of my previous electric wheelchair when returning home from a Dave Matthews Band concert with my folks and brother at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC), and man did I end up running over a fair amount of beer cans, and even a few of those tall-ass ones too, lol. Thankfully, no whiplash occurred although I felt my head wobbling as we wheeled over those speed bumps, hahaha!!
Strangely enough, while we were exiting the arena, a cute but quite drunk (and probably high) girl gently touched my arm, and in a drunken, almost slurred, stupor asked, "Hey bud, did you have a good time?" I'm like, "Ummm, yeah thanks?" Anyhow, we busted out of there, and on the way home in our wheelchair accessible modified van, my mom asked us why she was feeling unusually filled with happy laughter, we concluded that it may have been the effect of second-hand cannabis smoke since one could easily sense the skunky odor of weed inside the concert venue. Whether or not that was really true, just thinking about it made us roar with laughter and giggles on the ride home. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Something around 7% abv.

Thoughts on the new Depeche Mode? I'm not exactly over the moon. My bestie and I have been debating if we want to go see them for their upcoming tour. One of the things we bonded over was a mutual obsession over DM, but now neither of us are too jazzed about the new stuff. It'll probably be the last time they ever tour since Fletch is gone now (RIP). Dave and Martin seem plenty spritely, but the new releases are just.... boring. Who am I kidding though, I could probably watch them microwave a frozen dinner and be happy.
However, I did just pick up tickets for Molchat Doma's upcoming tour. I saw them last year for $15 and it was one of the best shows I've ever been to. This time tickets were $40 plus crazy fees. My credit card is annoyed at their success, but man, I am so proud of them. Fun fact, a couple of years ago an interviewer asked them who they'd most like to collab with, and they said Dave Gahan (of Depeche Mode.) Excellent.

I just heard that Depeche Mode is coming to San Diego, but I feel similar thoughts to those you've expressed. Plus, they're planning on playing at the old Sports Arena, which is a shitty venue with bad wheelchair seating and shitty acoustics. I did just learn that The Cure is playing in May at my favorite outdoor Amphitheater with excellent wheelchair seats. But there's a Lottery system. I'd love to go, they put on an amazing show a few years ago.

Ugh, this song is really good. Love the message, it's kind of cheesy at times but it's so heartfelt!
Yet again the YouTube algorithm found me a great song.

I just posted this video a couple of days ago, raving about it. Such a great song. More than a song, really. An amazing performance. I never heard of The guy until 4 days ago. Check out some of the reaction videos on YouTube. It's fun to see people's live reaction when they see and hear this song.

I've been listening to Clannad since I was a young girl. I have almost all their albums. I also like Maire Brennan by herself. In celebration of St. Patrick's Day, here is an old one from the movie "Harry's Game"

While I listen to a wide range I like a lor of more beat driven stuff, some of my favs in this genre:
(There is a gap of silence at the start that is intentional)

I'm a fan of beat driven music as well. Never heard of these guys until a friend showed me some vids. Retro vibe.
Other times, I'd rather just kick back and listen to a trippy, meandering melody and some highly confusing lyrics. Excellent with headphones.
