I just watched the latest episode of the Last of Us and man, that show really gets my tear ducts going (the first episode especially). I did not think Nick Offerman would make a good gay guy, but he pulled it off (even though I wish they cast an actual gay guy). Just binged it this weekend and omfg... episode 3... what an incredible and emotional work of art. I've had Linda Rondstadt on repeat today 😭😭

I watched Six Feet Under when it came out, I enjoyed it though it kind of got a little monotonous overall and did still enjoy it.
Shameless, wow, that is just insanity at it's highest level.
I'm really enjoying Mayor of Kingstown recently.
Still in the first season of Your Honor but it seems really unrealistic how stupid his son is being with everything with the kid's sister. Still going to see through the season though.

I still think Six Feet Under has the best series finale of any show I've ever seen. Others have gotten close, but not to that same level for me. I just binged Shameless (US) not too long ago and I liked it lol. Lip was my favorite. Would love to see more from the actor who played him (e.g., The Bear has been great so far).

Did anyone watch the last episode in the second season of New Amsterdam, which shows a cute 6-year-old boy being diagnosed with DMD by the main protagonist character Dr. Max Goodwin? That was quite an emotional episode for me, because it pretty much hit close to home and reminded me of how painfully difficult it was for my parents first learning about my DMD diagnosis at age 5. I still recall the sad and distraught look on their faces back then, and at the time, I was just a happy and playful kid who had no idea what was to be a life-long struggle with plenty of physical, health, and social challenges.
That said, while it hasn't been easy, I'm really proud of the strength, grit, and resilience of my folks in dealing with the ups and downs of this chronic disease and always telling me to never lose hope even in the face of tremendous adversity. My younger brother has also been a great support in this interesting life journey of mine. I was born a fighter and I'm going to keep fighting DMD regardless of what the future holds, no doubt about it.

I haven't seen the episode you're talking about, but I just wanted to say it's really awesome that you have such a great attitude. Your story really hit home for me. I don't remember actually being diagnosed, but I know how difficult it must have been for my parents. My older brother had DMD as well. So when they found out he had it, they had me tested and found I had it as well. I can't really imagine how they feel. I lived with my brother for 33 years and he's probably the reason I haven't completely lost my mind. He passed away 2 years ago, but I'll always be thankful for him. Anyway, sorry for rambling.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm really glad you had a brother with DMD to get you through it all. Sometimes I kind of wish the same. I bet you understood each other really well. I was lucky enough to be diagnosed right after I was born because they were doing genetic testing for DMD at the hospital. The results didn't come back until I was 3 weeks old I think but I also can't imagine what it must have been like for my parents to find out, It must not have been easy.
All that being said I just found a good show on Apple TV+, it's called Slow Horses. It's a great detective crime drama; it does the whole big web of lies deceit and manipulation thing that good detective shows do. It's much better than NCIS that's for sure. I also just watched The Banshees of Inisherin a really dark comedy by the same guy who did In Bruges, another movie I love. Without giving too much away I can say it's about two friends, just one friend decides he doesn't like the other friend anymore sort out of the blue. I kind of think it's an allegory for the Irish civil war.

Cooking at all costs.....not one of my more favorite cooking shows but an interesting concept. You get 25k in your bank and have 3 boxes each round (a spend box, a surprise box, and a save box), and you can only use the ingredients from those boxes to make a dish, along with whatever the mid round items are that are shipped out for auction to enhance your box.

I've started watching The Consultant on Prime Video. I'm not going to give any spoilers, but this show is a pretty dark comedy with a very nihilistic vibe to it.
