I’m SO not a zombie show person, but I’ve heard such amazing things about The Last of Us, especially the ep. with Nick Offerman. I suppose we’ll probably watch it after all (my husband was a big Walking Dead fan, too). We watched most of the new History of the World, Part II last night on Hulu. Quite funny in places, quite repeated-fart-joke-stupid in places. So: basically a Mel Brooks joint. Anyone else a fan of the Great Pottery Showdown? I feel like because I didn't watch Mel Brooks films growing up, or part one, that I wouldn't get the humor, but perhaps I should give it a shot.

If you're trying to get the essence of Mel brooks, the only choice is Blazing Saddles. The original cut, not the one that's edited to death. Who knew they did a remake of History of the World?

The zombies are actually a pretty small focus of the show...it's really more about human connections and emotions. The episode with Nick Offerman was incredibly emotional and well done...I cried a lot lol.

I was excited to see the new season of You, but my interest has waned a bit in the weeks since it arrived. I still haven't seen even one episode of Ted lasso, though everybody tells me how good it is. I'll get around to it eventually. I'm a bit of a TV Junkie myself. I am happy to report that I've gotten out of the practice of watching really bad reality TV the last several years. Like Basketball Wives and the Bad Girls Club. Lol haha Season 4 of You isn't my favorite, but I'm definitely still enjoying it. Ted Lasso is a must!! Somehow, they manage this perfect balance of heartfelt and funny, and it just works. Plus, they tackle some important issues in a really mature and realistic way. I was going to skip it when I first saw it, too, but decided to give it a shot. I'm really glad now that I did. Most of the really bad reality TV totally makes me cringe. However, I do have one guilty pleasure that I just can't get enough of...Love After Lockup / Life After Lockup / Love During Lockup. The drama is off the charts. Every couple is an absolute train wreck, and I just love it

But I used to enjoy aspects of the worst shows despite their trashiness. I mean, the fights on Bad Girls Club were epic. And I used to love watching Basketball Wives just to see how insanely large the hoop earrings could get. I mean, there should be a size at which they become so hazardous or uncomfortable that they would stop there, but no. The Hoops get bigger and bigger. Like you could fit a fist through them with room to spare. Maybe throw a football through them to win a stuffed animal at your local bazaar.

At the moment, I am binge watching LA Brea on the Paramount channel. It is a bit like Lost which I absolutely loved to the point where I kept watching it over and over. Then I brought the box sets, this is about sinkholes in Los Angeles and all around America, time travel and it’s really good. What’s next…

Big weekend coming up as far as TV goes. On Friday night, we have the new season of Yellowjackets, released for streaming on Showtime.
And two days later, HBO's series Succession begins it's new season. Definitely one of the best shows on TV currently
