We all know what a brutal world online dating can be. I’m interested in hearing some of your stories and experiences, but really just the bad ones. lol The good ones are honestly kind of boring.

LOL yeah, I was talking with a girl with whom I seemed to really click. We liked a lot of the same things, had similar tastes in music, lifestyles, personalities, etc. Then she asked me why I was still single, and I explained to her all the details of my disability. She was polite and acted like it didn't bug her, but the conversation ended not very long after that, and I never heard from her again. Another one bites the dust.

Not sure if that’s the best approach for online dating. Obviously you want to be honest with how you present yourself, but I think in the online dating game you need to play your strengths a little more heavily. If you truly feel that your disability is the reason you’re single, I’d keep that brief in conversation or you might scare away someone who’s interested!

Believe me, I agree, but she pressed on for more info.

HER: “How are you still single?”
ME: “Because I always answer that question honestly.”

HER: “How are you still single?” ME: “Because I always answer that question honestly.” Honestly, I'm thankful. Separates the wheat from the chaff. Whole lotta chaff.

So many missed opportunities to meet nice devs by not disclosing this detail.

Online dating is like this for me: "Hey Sir Paul, your profile is hilarious and it's so great that you put yourself out there, tell me a little bit about yourself."
...types a little bit about himself...
No response.
It's apparent that they just can't handle this hotness.
Or perhaps I'm just a weird guy who would refer to himself as "this hotness." Regardless. Single as F.

Online dating hasn’t worked for me , which led me to this website.......so that’s cool. Desperation at its finest.... Hmmm... This kind of comes across as if you think of PD as a sort of last resort or place to go to out of desperation. But I know things can get misconstrued over text so... Feel free to let me know if I'm picking up the wrong vibe

I'm almost sure that you don't mean that this forum is a last resort, because that would be really insulting to everyone here. But you might want to elaborate on your thoughts.

I assumed nofacue, out of frustration, embarked upon an internet search which serendipitously led him to PD. Cool = a happy coincidence!
