The Berserkers always interested me...
Funny how the Norse-the ex Vikings-are now some of the most peace-loving people on earth.

Well, that's because they invaded other nations, like Germany, parts of Italy, England, Russia. The nice ones were left in Scandanavia.

Berserkers were Viking super warriors-of a sort. In battle they became possesed by Odin's rage and would kill ANYTHING in their path...including other Vikings; which was one reason why they led the way. They were hard to kill-often fighting on with terrible wounds.

Valkyr, you've made some great points in all the conversations to which you've responded. You seem like an intelligent, confident woman. But what do you look like? Can you post some pictures?

I found only one. I'm not photogenic at all. It's a "stollen picture", it was 2 years ago in a vacation. A friend took that picture cause I was wearing a big hat. Sun is extremely dangerous for me because I'm too white. If I'm 5 minutes under the sun without protection I turn completly red! And it really hurt! Sorry I have no other photo... I don't like to take pictures from me.

Thanks, Taylor... for what I've been reading I really like the site.
Tony I'm really not like you... you can say that I hate the sun. Once I had a third degree burn only for being under the sun for 30 minutes!! I love the cold (really cold) wheather. I'm happy in a cloudy, windy, -10º day!! I was in Moscow once... it was -43º, about 40cm of snow... that was a paradise for me!! We have a say here "la sangre tira" (it's like to say the blood pull) Used to be really cold in Denmark!! LOL

You must like to take trips to Tierra del Fuego then ? It's going to be getting cold down there, right? Your autumn and winter are coming?

I never was in Tierra del Fuego. Go there is one of my dreams. We are in autumn now, but... because of the global warming, we have about 16ºC now. About 20 years ago, in autumn, the max temperature was abaut 10ºC. Now, it's incredible humid!! You see, in summer, in our south the temperature used to reach the 20ºc Top. Now... sometimes, it reaches the 30 or 34ºC (Sorry... I dont have a conversion table from Celsius to Farenheit)

I can do it in my head, and I'm very used to using the system, so I know what you're talking about.
It sounds very warm, in the middle of the winter up here, we had a time around where I live where we had temperatures around 20 C, rather strange.

Climate changes occur naturally over time. 6000 years ago, what is now the Sahara Desert was very habitable. In Roman times, they grew wine grapes in Britain.
And don't forget that through most of the last few million years ice ages have prevailed. In fact, we're now in an 'interglacial' period.
This notion that it's so called Global Warming is 'our fault' has more to do with people's apparant need to feel guilty about something-like a religion for the unreligious-than on truth in my opinion.
I think there has been LOTS of cherry picking of data, extrapolation, hype, and outright bs put out by proponants of Global Warming(TM).
