I mean...y'know, if she ownd a compound on Maui...had been a Miss Hawaiian Tropic finalist...was finishing up a degree in Engineering...took her cues from Gandhi and St. Francis...was completely besotted with me... <shrug> then yeah, I geuss I'd at least THINK ABOUT moving to Hawai'i...

If there was some divine/cosmic/whatever proof that that person was the definte right person, then yes, I would do whatever it took.

It's really doubtful. I'm happy where I am. My life is good, even without a partner. I couldn't see myself gambling that on a potential improvement with something as risky as a human being.

i would never move for "a" guy. but i would move for " the right" guy. although i am very affected by my surroundings so it would have to be somewhere that i would be happy. otherwise i guess we'd have to meet somewhere in the middle.

My family (beside my couple and my dougther) is really little... only left my mother and my grandma (she is 90). It would be very difficult to leave them. But I did it... or something like this. I live in a great house (2 in 1) but when we decided to live together, we bouth our own house. And now, we live almost 30 km from my family. It was a reall change for me and I left all my comodities for my guy.

I totally uprooted my life, for "the" guy, and now live 5000 km from my family.

with 10 years online behind me this topic has come up, at least in theory, several times....i feel that moving wouldnt be something i could do for several reasons,,,i moved here, for a grrl on the surface, but the reality is that it was a place to go that provided me with ppl i knew,,,instant friends...while only leaving me an afternoon's drive away from my daughter should an emergency occur,,,and that is still important to me...as for a grrl mioving here...<break for consumption of one fine green chile cheeseburger>...this place would feel like a whole different world to someone from...say, canada,,,or jersey...there's no way a grrl could make the $$ here that they could make ie. what tony said,,,BUT,,,theres no way that grrl could rent a 3 bedroom 1900 sq ft home in the nicest parts of town for $1100-1300...shoot...my 3 bedroom apt only costs me $535/mo w/o any aid from "housing"...for the right woman i would consider moving to albuquerque,,,THE big city by new mexico standards altho i really enjoy the small city (40K ppl weekdays, 50% more on weekends) lifestyle...i leave home @ 8:10 am and i miss "rush hour" but i can still go to home depot or choose from 2 walmart super centers...the final word is that ive been visited (in albuquerque) by several grrlz and...for a variety of reasons,,,nothing came of any of them...hmmm,,,i wonder why im writing in an atypical style(for me) today,,,serious subject matter i reckon,,,,jeff

Well I'm moving to Alabama this august to be with Chan. We've spent the last 7 months seeing eachother every couple of weeks, and its got to the stage where every couple weeks just isnt enough anymore. Me moving there so we can be together would be completely logical and natural if I came from Alabama too, so I dont think me being from the UK should make it any more of a decision. I'm lucky because all I need for 'work' is an internet connection, and I dont have anywhere I really consider 'home', so it's not a major upheaval for me. We're going to try things out for a month or so and see if we can live in a tiny one bedroom apartment without killing eachother and then see if we want to make it a permanent or not. It's a big step, but I really cant wait 'till august.
