rebeckers84 You're going to be amazing! Just remember, the relationship between a pwd and a dev can be a truly beautiful empowering thing for both parties. We are two halves of a whole and devs can be huge advocates for accessibility and ending the desexualization of pwds. There are poorly behaved outliers, yes, but that is true of every group. As women we know that. But for the most part, devs are looking for consensual experiences with partners who they are attracted to beyond their attraction to a disability. Every dev is different and the desire to understand devs and form a dev community is relatively knew (at least from my understanding), but an openness and understanding is truly important as these communities continue to develop beside each other.

cilantro great words, it is so true. Hopefully the stigma devs carry will diminish over time as we are more open about it and showing that most of us are just regular people with just a little something extra 💕

It’s out!!!
It’s the Wheels2Walking Podcast on iTunes and YouTube whichever way you choose to watch. I know last time I sent some of you here they were tough to listen to cause they’re really “American bro’s” lolol but try to tough it out!

rebeckers84 First off, thank you so much for doing this and sharing. You are a natural considering you’re talking about such a deep topic. I’m laughing at the american bro’s comment because I’m so used to it, but I know others outside of the US would find it different haha. I’ve been in a very dark place lately with my devness and have had a very tough time accepting myself. Watching this, seeing how open and confident you were about your dev side, all while doing it openly as yourself, has made a huge impact on me today. I envy your self acceptance and confidence, and it’s truly given me such hope that I will be in that place someday. I can’t thank you enough for doing this and being such an amazing, cool, relatable person about it. You made such great points and truly conveyed us in such a positive way. I know that there will be people that are going to see us in a different light because of you and that gives me such hope. Wrapping up my sappy post, but seriously thank you, this has had such an impact on me I can’t express that enough.

This is just fantastic, rebeckers84!!! I can just second what has been said before. Thank you so much. You’re a role model!
P.S.: On a side note: I love the sound of your voice. It’s not just lovely but also very convincing!
