Hi! Here are some links to fanfiction that I have read and enjoyed. Criminal Minds: www.fanfiction.net/s/6700784/1/The-Consultant. Reid uses canes to get around due to a "childhood incident". The romance between him and Emily is slow but sweet. Once upon a Time in Mexico: www.fanfiction.net/s/4073740/1/Stuck-in-the-Middle-With-You. Blinded Agent Sands is sent on a mission with Electra. This story is about Smike from Charles Dickens's "Nicholas Nickleby": www.fanfiction.net/s/5319570/1/Garden-of-EdenI've just recently discovered Willas and Sansa fanfiction based on G.R.R.Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" books. The extent of Willas's injury is not explained in detail in books, it has been mentioned that Willas has "a bad leg", "a twisted leg", Oberyn said that Willas's "knee was far past mending". This little information has left writers space to interpret Willas's disability on their own ways. So, in stories Willas may walk with a cane or with crutches or get around in a wheelchair depending on the authors' imagination. What I love about this fandom though, is Willas's sweet and calm nature, the way how he is hampered by his insecurities and how he overcomes them, how the Tyrell siblings stick together and are there for each other. I love Willas's protectiveness towards Sansa, especially after what she has been through with Joffrey. A large collection of Sansa/Willas fanfiction can be found here: fuckyeahsansawillas.tumblr.com/fanficmasterlist. There was a time when I read stories about disabled Edward from Twilight fandom, not because I was a great admirer of this books series but I took them as stories featuring a disabled character. This one - www.fanfiction.net/s/6409582/1/Shake - has Edward dealing with Tourette's Syndrome which is rather unusual among disability fics. Last month I stumbled on this fic: www.fanfiction.net/s/8013925/1/Stories-of-Us where Peeta is a blind amputee. After this discovery I went on searching and found another one from modern universe where Peeta is blind: archiveofourown.org/works/1514195. For these two stories you need not necessarily know the Hunger Games universe. However, this is not the case for the following one: www.fanfiction.net/s/8887211/1/Alone-in-a-Crowded-Room. This is a YA story where Peeta is suffering from the effects of TBI. In order to understand this story better, one should be at least a bit familiar with Hunger Games and its universe. Well, as summer is a time for holidays, you might find some time to check them out!
