^ YES! (YES! YES!) Cool to find another WWE games fan rollingup. What's your favourite? Being the conscise fan that I am and having everything on PSX/PS2/PS3 from In Your House (1996)- WWE 2K15, it's hard for me to choose one myself, they all have great qualities. I'd say a huge tie between Smackdown Shut Your Mouth,Here Comes The Pain and WWE '13, 2K14 and SvR 2010. Why do I like the games so much? Why, as the business is at a constant shift, each game is a fantastic little Time Capsule of it's own.

I swear I was going to say smackdown shut your mouth was the best one. Here comes the pain comes in a very close second place . I actually had brought in your house for PlayStation but I was a kid so I would button mash . I had war zone Wwf attitude . No mercy for N64 wrestlemania 2000. Smackdown from smackdown1 to 2k15. I hated raw 1 and 2 for Xbox . Lol

The only thing I hate about the newer games are the limited movesets and the game mechanics . I miss the old D-pad& O button grapple system

Yeah, more style over substance.I like the slow, technical style sometimes but when you want a good ol' squash match it can be a little too limited.

Yea and In my opinion I was very disappointed in 2k15 . The cow options were limited . The ring seemed smaller and I didn't like how the my career mode lasted until u get the main belt as if that's all it takes to get into the hall of fame . I hope they expand that in 2k16

Agreed. On last Gen the game is practically unplayable due to bugs, glitches and constant freezing. Rather disappointing really, since the roster and game modes are decent. The little things always let it down.
I'm excited for this year's though. The Austin showcase has pretty much sold me on it's own. Just hoping that it covers '96-'01 and not just another retread of his career from '98-'99 from WWE '13.
I need me some Brian Pillman.

Bah .... This is like reading a foreign language to me Doesnt anybody play doctors and nurses anymore *sniffle* or kiss chase, I remember always enjoying that one I've got an idea, shut the fuck up and go read the intro again. I ignored your first rule violation. I don't go into other threads, and say I don't understand this whole writing story things, why not just go do it in real life.

Back on the subject of Video Games, anyone else into Rise of Nations? Going through History and retaining an Empire is pretty fun, especially when it can be done through faith and trade, not always invasion.
Age Of Empires is also cool, not an RTS fan as such, but due to the great history aspect, those are the exceptions.

Never saw the appeal of FPS's as I began to grow, there doesn't seem to be any thinking or planning involved in them. As with any game, the best part is the brain and skill put into it, no skill in tedious pointing and shooting.
Don't get me started on Candy Crush and that ilk either. It's laughable to see a serious looking business woman transfixed on a bright colourful screen and tapping at it with a vegetative glaze in her eyes whilst commuting.
Double sided coin, gaming. On one side it's a fun escapist experience, the other it's embarrassingly monotonous and infantile and at times it's hard to say where I stand.

Depending on the FPS you're playing, there's a lot of planning and mindgames involved in the higher levels of games: explained here in a game of Quake 3

Yes back on topic...
I have Rise of Nations in my steam library, hopefully I get to it someday, I've seen nothing but positive reviews about it. I have played my share of Age of Empires, and have part 2 installed on my laptop.
All games have strategies, even shooters, some are crazy where your life expectancy is about 10 seconds, but I love all the tactics that can and do get employed in BF. Which you should only play shooters on PC, in my humble opinion.

Not against all shooters, I should say. Big fan of UT 2004 and 007:Nightfire is a great game and one of the 1st FPS's I played, love it. But DoD and games like that seem to have dumbed the genre down a little. Perhaps it's the immature and unsporting behavour of some online playsers that has put me off, who knows.

Not a fan of MMPORPGS at all, call me bitter, old before my time and cynical but I see them as a waste of time for a majority of the.....time.
