Not a fan of MMPORPGS at all, call me bitter, old before my time and cynical but I see them as a waste of time for a majority of the.....time. As somebody who did my time (which was over a solid 8 years, btw) of playing MMO's, I can confirm that they are in fact, a waste of time. Through my time playing, there has been ONE MMORPG that I can say was legitimately good (and now isn't because most MMO's are ruined when they become too popular). Anyways, now I play mostly competitive stuff. League of Legends, DOTA2 when I'm feeling masochistic, and a whole ton of fighting games ranging from my favorite (Smash Bros Melee) to ones that I'm working towards learning (Street Fighter, Guilty Gear, P4A, Blaz Blu). I do still have a soft spot for old school JRPGS, and quite enjoy them. I'll play just about anything if it's a good enough game, but my favorite are by far the PVP games that require reading and prediction. Also, EVO is my super bowl.

I enjoy playing the competitive stuff too, but I can't make friends playing games like LoL or Dota. I'm too busy raging at all the fucktards.I use to do that. It's all about perspective though. The way I see it, if I can't carry a 1v5, I need to git gud. The thing about league is that, no matter how absolutely amazing you do, the fact is that you can literally lose a game with no say whatsoever in the matter. At any point after that 20 minute mark, your entire team can just decide "nah, I don't feel like it" and 4 to 1 surrender vote you. There's nothing you can really do in those situations except try and better yourself (or duo with a friend so you can't get outvoted lol). I'm a lot more lenient with "bad" (I put it in quotes because I don't believe anyone is bad, just ignorant or inexperienced) players because of this. Like, I don't care if they do the most retarded flash in the world and then get killed under enemy tower 1v3, at least they're actually playing. One thing that I like about league, and any game of it's ilk, is that you're actually at a huge advantage for being charismatic and having good social skills. Being able to take that leader role in a game and direct your team on what needs to be done, make baron/dragon calls/tower calls etc. is very important. You gotta remember that at the end of the day, they're just another person behind the keyboard. They probably don't want to do badly, and would rather be winning (if they WANT to lose, you can bet you will know by how they play). What server do you play on?

What server do you play on? I'm on NA. We should play sometime. I'm utter trash at the game now because I've been out for a while, but the jungle seems mostly unchanged from what I can tell and wards are still the most OP thing in the game (I'm really good about warding, I use to average over 25 a game as a jungler, most of the time I beat my support out haha). My summoner name on NA is DarkAuraLord, add me if you're up for it!

Never could really get into FPS, MMO, or RPG games, although they seem like they're certainly the most popular. For me it's always been sports (Madden, FIFA, MLBTS, NBA2k, etc) and of course, mario games. I couldn't care less about the actual subject/content, whether it be fighting or partying or racing or playing a sport. As long it's got that little animated Italian plumber in the red hat, I'm bound to enjoy it.

I am currently counting down the seconds until Metal Gear Solid V. Lately, I'm playing a lot of Rocket League, GTA V, WWE 2K15, and Prison Architect.

Good taste sir^
I've been playing a lot of Binding of Isaac: Rebirth on Steam recently and damn, is it fun. The randomly generated rooms and powerups mean that no playthrough is ever the same, as well as the permadeath angle. It's fun, addictive and just incredible to a T.

I just saw a new Homefront preview. Not the smoothest of shooters, but I haven't had a game make me want to win so badly. Nothing is quite as motivating as fighting the enemy on your home turf and you're the underdog.

Caved in and fought my FPS prejudices today, buying Bioshock Infinite and Aliens VS Predator for the PS3. Haven't played either, but I've heard good things about both.

Calling Bioshock an FPS is like calling Borderlands 2 an FPS. Like yeah, it's in first person and you shoot things, but It's an rpg though. Lol. Anyways, Bioshock is amazing (infinite and the first one). I've been on my MH4U grind until I can finally afford a fight stick. Then it's off to the magical land of Quarter Circles and Dragon Punches as I try to learn how to play Guilty Gear worth a damn. Lol

Yeah, I know re: Bioshock but FPSRPG is a silly acronym.Loved the first 2, and understand that 3 is quite the change, but change is good so looking forward to starting it.

Right, so after watching my daily dose of Markiplier, I decided to check out the Dating Sim/ Bejeweled clone that is HuniePop.
Impressions?
Yeah, it's pretty good.
Now as a rule, I hate dating Sims, despite having never played one. On the surface, they seem to be nothing more than something for lonely geeks to get their rocks off to. But perhaps I was being too harsh. I felt genuinely challenged by what I've played of this one so far, and the Characters involved seem well fleshed out (no pun intended).
So you can tut at me and shake your heads, but hey, the best things are often unexpected....wait, I've already said that today.
