Welcome to PD but as you have now realized, the topic of BIID always causes emotions running wild here and it is understandable I think On another quick note about the disabled bathroom stalls, I use them too and I am neither disabled nor suffer from BIID....

Well I will say the BIID and pretender dudes that use the handicap stalls are not like the lazy AB guys that do not lift up the toilet seat and piss all over the toilet/floor. So there is that.
Lazy AB men...argh!!!!!

Like you would even fucking know if it happened in the first place. People with BIID aren't not the ones you need to worry about screwing with the "disabled world". Wha... Hey, lying isn't good, even if there are worse things. Wheelchair stalls are for who -cannot- use stalls otherwise. Let's not -defend- someone's bad behavior because somehow we're understanding his problem or accepting it. I will gladly support people admitting to a problem, but no one should enable their bad behavior. If he does it because I won't know, then he's also -manipulative-. You seem to be angry that I'm not all "koombayah" about it. Having BIID doesn't make a person physically disabled, physical disability isn't psychological.

MarineAmp is not all upset that you are not all "koombayah" he is stating why are you getting all bent out of shape about bathroom stalls and hp spots when if you think about the numbers. BIID/Pretenders using up either of those two things are extremely small compared to other people that do not also qualify as physically disabled. The other point he made is how are you going to tell that you ran across a BIID/Pretender in real life using a bathroom stall. They will look like every other fucking low para (I say this with love from one medium para to you small belly low paras... oh those sweet small little bellies) I am not defending BIID/Pretenders nor is MarineAmp. I still am jealous of not have the luxury of choice in my physical state. I understand the basic frustration of this subject but I am not going to go up to every low looking para and ask if they are real or not. Plus the only real way to tell is to wheel up from behind and flip their chair backwards to see their legs jet out for balance. At least this guy is not like some of the guys that come around wanting to swap "disabled" stories or complain how he can't get up to the 2nd floor to partake in the best hotdogs in DC because he can't walk.

Shrug it was a very aggressive way to say things, as though I offended him. Much too nice of a Saturday to get into it, if MJW sees the problem, great, I'd love to offer some perspective on the deeper facts of disability besides what it looks like on the outside.

(I say this with love from one medium para to you small belly low paras... oh those sweet small little bellies) I love it when you boys talk dirty to us Oh dear. Is this considered rude? I was just trying to break the ice... Wheelseeker: I too have questions. However, mine are strictly out of curiosity and I'm guessing that your inbox has already been inundated with messages. Please let me know if and when you have a moment to humor an inquisitive female dev. No obligation to reply at all. Many thanks!

Mr.BB- I thought we classified you as a high para? I dont know what kind of game you're playing here.... T4 is a high para???!!! Fuck I so wanted to be a medium para. I see myself as a medium para. If I am a high para why are my nipples so sensitive? (Other then because @ruby thinks they are her own little play toys that make her para jump around)

Screw you buddy! You can't be a member of the medium para club. T1 - T4 is high. You are just going to have to live with it. So suck it up princess!
Yours sincerely President of the Medium para club

Matisse, you are welcome to send me a PM. We can have some real talk and I can answer questions. I wasn't super familiar with this forum and did not realize that I was stepping into some hot water. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and showing a very real perspective. Many more people feel the way that you do, I'm sure. I also need to thank those who've shared some rather supportive and uplifting words without really knowing me. Not really a PM type. So, have you ever made a mess with #1 or #2 in your wheelchair because you couldn't make it to a toilet (accessible or not) in time? Or did you decide to just use your legs? When you can't find a handicap parking spot, do you wait for one to open up, or go to a regular spot? Are there any aspects of your house/apt/whatever that are not accessible, like doorways, bed for transfer, or shower/tub?

Thank you for the translation. I have said before and will say it again. Anytime a BIID goes into the world they don't have to say a word, they are instantly lying. I equate it to the stolen valor act. Do it all you want in your own home, and I could give two shits, go out in public and you're a liar. I just don't give a shit anymore if they do it, because it really has no life alter impact on me. I have never shat myself waiting to use a stall, that happened driving down the highway hoping for an exit to come up soon (fuck you Idaho). I have actually never waited on any disabled or potential BIID person for a stall outside of a wheelchair sporting/social event. I have waited on plenty of AB people though, and still I am alive and unsoiled.

matisse Mr.BB @tykes (in alphabetical order) Ok, being kind of on the new side here, I need to get this straight. T1-T4: high para T5-T8: mid para T9-T12: Low para..the ones who get all those sweet words But..what about T4-5? Or T8-9? Or worse: T13 para!!! Or.. the new walking para member.. This is so confusing for me. Besides, you boys should stop this sibling rivalry and stick together against the ... others..

I am t5, I have always just considered high and low paras. I was just taking the p!ss out of Mr BB. I always considered high to have no stomach muscles and low to have stomach muscles. An argument could be made that t7 - t9 with some stomach muscles is mid, www.webmanmed.com/spinalnrv_files/thoracic.htmlAnother definition may be spasms and dysreflexia? At my level I am high enough to get lots of spasms, but low enough to have never had autonomic dysreflexia. Maybe that makes me mid. lol I don't think there really is any classifications, juts everyone wants a bit more. We are not greedy. Quads want to be able to do stuff paras can do, high paras want the balance that stomach muscles bring, etc etc
