Hello everyone! I'm a 30something yo dev from Romania. It is the first time I am officially introducing myself as a devotee and it feels strange and pretty exhilarating to do it. All my relationships, including the one I'm currently in, have been with AB persons, and I have never had the chance to act on my dev inclinations maybe because I am an introvert, maybe because the country I live in is not very PWD-friendly, and besides, I have never tried to push beyond what my social circle offered. But mostly because I have never really made peace with this side of myself, believing it may come across as abnormal, sick, offensive to others. So I just kept it to myself. I found PD a few weeks ago and While perusing the board, I was struck by how many PWD are aware about the devotee phenomenon, and not only that they accept it, but they also seem to appreciate it and treat devs with the respect any (decent) human being deserves. I am humbled and looking forward to getting to know you, PWD and devs, (and, in this process myself) better.

Welcome from a fellow European. There is no reason to feel abnormal, sick or offensive to others. Well. There are many reasons but being a dev is none. ;-)

Thank you, everyone! It is nice to be here. tom60313 Thanks for saying that. It feels good to see those doubts were not justified.

Welcome to PD, it is great you found us and had the courage to sign up. I think you will like it here and hopefully come to some peace with being a devotee. I feel all the devotees here are great people, we are not sick or weird, just a bunch of amazing people with special attractions! Enjoy your time here.

Thank you for your kind words and warm welcome! I am already starting to feel at home here and this says a lot, considering that in a group I tend to be the quiet one who'll talk only if asked/talked to. Even on forums, yeah. You are indeed a great bunch, and I am glad I found you.

I felt great being able to join this board and to talk to many who have similar feelings. Definitely join in the chatroom when you can! Lots of fun conversations happen there!

What nooo, I vant to suck your blood jokes? I am ashamed of all of you! -_- srsly tho, it's really cool you're here, because it just goes to show that devs are everywhere, and that's a good thing, except near me, which is not... haha. I also think it's cool because Negură Bunget happens to be one of my favorite bands ever! Fyi If you don't like black metal than I suggest you stay away. Anyway I hope you enjoy your time here. Ps Introverts are awesome.
