i also think women TELL PEOPLE(and maybe tell themselves) that they don't care about looks, because they think that's what they're supposed to say. but if you overhear 'girl talk' you'll know that isnt necessarily the case. Of course not! It's all about looks... But my conception of who's beautiful/good looking might not correspond to what society potrays as beautiful... And being a dev or not doesn't change a thing

very good point charlene. personally, i find the typical american playboy centerfold; long, lean, blond, very regular featured, to be completely un-erotic and boring.
and i've also had the experience of finding some chica to be amazingly sexy, and my buddies don't even notice her hardly.

oh no no no, fubb. that was just some woman that tony knew. see, i used to make that mistake; thinking that any woman who talked to me at all or paid any attention must be interested on some level.

I was going to say that. She was probably just talking to you. I've never had that disillusion, but I'm sure it's fairly common.

Hey kids, been meaning to post on this thread as it's kinda interesting, but I've been one busy mutha lately, and now I'm really drained. I hate to blame it on age or being a quad, but my energy level isn't what it used to be.
Anyway, first, there are DEFINITELY girls that will overlook da chair because the find something INSIDE you that stimulates them beyond the physical. In the early days of online networking, I met many girls. One girl was a very intense love for 2 years, and we had great chemistry that got carried away before I exposed my 'chairness'. This chemistry included powerful phone sex, but I knew I had to break the news, and I was damn nervous about it, but I decided that if she couldn't handle it, I'd take it like a man, so I remember sending an email before going to work and hoping she wouldn't be too freaked out. It worried me all day, but the result was that she fell even harder for me, crying over the phone, but was determined to know me in-person. I picked her up from airport, and we had an incredible 1st week, including the hot sex that was started on phone. There were other girls, too, from those days, but the point is that girls with zero attraction to chairdudes can get past the chair. Oh, we mutually drifted apart because of distance, but it was great.
As for the chick in the pic with the gorgeous ass, she's one of my buddies next door neighbor, so we've partied together over the years. She has a boyfriend, but lately e and her have become better friends, even coming out to see me and guitarist play this Tues night, but I think this friendship is just that, nothing amorous, but hey, you never know down the road if I cast my spell on her properly. lol Actually, she's too damn tall for me!

It's inherent in the male genes to believe that any sort of look, glance, smile, or conversation means that the girl is interested!!! And no doubt there have been lots of relationships and hook ups that have occurred as a result of that perception, however skewed it may be....... That hot chick may or may not be interested, but regardless it seems to me that her body language at least makes her a candidate for being the type of person who could look beyond the chair.

Look, I think every Dev should be 'representing' by showing their colors. Chandy and Devogirl, maybe more, have proven their love by wearing 'Dev fashion'. We need more devs ready to post their love by slipping on these...SHO YO LOVE, BABYGURL!! lol www.cafepress.com/paradevoshop.37153091

Woo hoo! Thanks for the props, Tony! And in case you girls stopped wearing your paradevo t-shirt because you didn't like the cut, I just added some more styles. You don't have to wear a thong either, there are all kinds of products, for men and women. www.cafepress.com/paradevoshop

You don't have to wear a thong either What a terrible thing to say. Anyway, Chan is the only Dev I know who has worn the PD stuff in public. I hope it wasn't when Andy was around, b/c he'd probably be embarrassed at the dorkiness of hanging around with someone wearing that LOL. If you really want devs to wear PD stuff, it has to be incognito stuff that gives plausible deniability and generally doesn't raise Q's. We have some budding artists here, maybe they can design something. Like the letters "PD"in Chinese and in the wheelchair blue color.

Haha. Chan wears that shirt, and her other wheelie man hoodie quite often actually and I dont get embarrassed at all, quite the opposite in fact. Actually I'm pretty sure it's me embarrassing her on most occasions, normally with my worrying habit of trying on ridiculous and inappropriate headwear in just about any store we go into. Or insisting that during trips to wall*mart I attach myself to the front of the shopping cart, facing backwards and have her push me around. Or simply doing things like this:

LOL! I always wondered if there was a way to spot a dev! I would have to say that women's body language can be quite confusing to interpret correctly. I always have the same problem that some of you do. All of a sudden, a female would act like, and or say things like, GO AWAY! GET AWAY FROM ME! I would be like, WOW! What in the hell did I do? I was pretty sure I wasn't smothering myself onto them. Where do you draw the line? If you pour it on too much, you're screwed. If you don't pour it on enough, you're screwed. I just seem to have very bad luck, I guess.

Chinese doesn't use letters And writing something in a language spoken by over 4 billion people is hardly incognito. But if anyone else wants to design a new image and can create a high-quality jpg, just let me know. I'm happy to create more items on the same site.

... during trips to wall*mart It's not a mart for walls. It's Wal*Mart. Ffffff. Get it right. P.S. If anyone still has any doubts after his last post, yes, he really is truly embarrassing in public.
