the guy I mentioned upthread, the one whom I believed spotted me? I saw him in the market yesterday. It was a little awkward. We ran into each other at least 3 times in different aisles. I should've spoken to him. Oh well, maybe next time.

Another way to spot a dev: if you see the following on her facebook bulletin board (courtesy of the "Pieces of Flair" application): it bugs me how disproportionately small the girl is.

I am a bit too old for a tatoo.... but I would absolutely wear a necklace with that swirl. It is very pretty and graceful.... with that sweet hidden meaning!
Chan- maybe you could add this to your boutique line up.

Ah Scarlett!
To be young and living in NYC again! What memories. Unfortunately for me, even if I were young and back there, you'd have no interest in the AB I was! I'd give anything to have either of my apartments back, but alas, they are only accessible and fun for AB's. But you can't beat a loft/studio on W. 86th and Riverside except perhaps for my apartment on Cornelia Street in the Village, right at the intersection of Bleeker and 6th Avenue...now that WAS the center of life in NY for a 20-something year old!

How the heck did you get such amazing apartments? I guess you must be old enough that you were around back in the day when there were still affordable places downtown. I consider myself pretty lucky to have a cheap rent-stabilised manhattan apartment, but the location is nothing like those!

,what i wish i knew was how many of the women who ive had a similar amount of interest shown and/or actual physical contact of various levels of the intimate variety (ie. "misunderstanding" my use of the word "kismet" and thinking i said "kiss me" and doing so, up to a dash across the bar to check me for tonsils the 2nd time she saw me) were from grrls whom i never saw any devness but were and women who were simply attracted to jeff the man rather than jeff the dis man... ok so i may just be speaking for myself but i dont think so. for me its not all about the disability, if im not attracted to the person, and we dont have anything in common and we dont have a connection, than their disability has no effect. so for me if i were to be attracted to you i would like you for jeff the man who happens to have a disability , which can be a huge turn on with the right person

I think we should come up with a symble for dev's like the pink ribbon for breast cancer maybe a handicaped blue and white ribbon it the shape of a circle worn on the right side... you know something like that... Because if they were some little mark like that we could get the word out about it I know i would aproch women that I knew were dev's... so in the gay community this lady named leanne hurley started a project and encouraged lesbians to wear lesbian id bracelets... its just a purple string around your wrist. that way you dont ever have to worry about approaching a girl and wondering if she is straight or not... maybe a bright blue bracelet?

So, I was just thinking, is this symbol was meant to be obvious or just something "members" will recognize? If it's the latter, I found this one. It is from the Chinese book of Changes. It means immobility.

That's a good idea would definetley make things a little easier for us wheelers, the hard part would be getting Devs to wear them..
