Ohh, this sounds absolutely divine!! I haven't been horse riding since I was a teenager, but I've been wanting to try it again for such a long time... Maybe you should pay a visit to your older dev-sister! 😉 I‘m in as well! :-)

I’m a country girl, so being outside cheers me up. Riding to hounds, shooting, hunting all with great friends and acquaintances.

When my black lab dog comes up on the couch next to me and lays/presses his head onto my shoulder or chest and rests his paw over my arm. It is such an amazing sign of love and affection from an animal, the volunteer/natural resting of his head on me and his complete trust and relaxing is a wonderful feeling to receive from an animal. I feel the same with my one cat coming up onto the bed with me when it's time to go to sleep, I know it's how he shows his love for me and I treasure that. I also very much love music from morning to night, everywhere I go and I love that I can listen to my favorite German radio show "Matuschke, der andere Abend" online, I love modern technology for that. Sleeping in makes me happy too, I hate getting up, not a morning person at all.

Maybe you should pay a visit to your older dev-sister! 😉 I really hope that this is not an empty offer, because I absolutely would! Also wonk : Immediately after sending my above post, I had to check the English definition of galloping to make sure it really did refer to horses and not just to humans running fast

I’m always in a good mood when I eat a good steak. Red meat cheers me up. Elevates my endorphins. And satisfies me.

...closer than if there was a horse I guess I shouldn't complain, I could have turned out much worse!

...closer than if there was a horse I guess I shouldn't complain, I could have turned out much worse! A horse is of course and never the worse For wear as the hare who keepeth aware Of her wish that I dish between bread some fish Or a bird whose lone word is all that we've heard These last weeks, served with leeks, and like cleverest Greeks Bring the gifts and tide shifts and launching of ships To conclude when they intrude per Ithacan shrewd Who endorsed but one course: Troy for a horse. Okay good night.

My answer is this:
This is maybe my favorite movie of all time with my favorite soundtrack of all time. I forget about it for a while but it always cheers me up when I return to it. It's also pretty melancholic for me, reminds me of being a child and visiting my father in France. I would go in the summer and into the fall, going to school there for a couple months or so. There's nothing like summer in Provence, France, such a beautiful country but incredibly inaccessible for electric wheelchairs.
I haven't been able to return for a quite a while due to how inaccessible planes are. So I guess this movie and soundtrack is a mixed bag for me. But it really does cheer me up.

1. To find new music! 2. To find new poetry 3. To find new food 4. To create new music 5. To sing, no matter how creepy your voice is
P.D. You're creating nice threads!

Not (necessarily) related to devness: Cuddling, dancing, making and listening to music, summer, talking openly to interesting people, food, being productive.
Related to devness: Talking to disabled guys and feeling that my devness is accepted and even appreciated (best cheer up ever), coming to PD and reading posts that I can relate to, the prospect of meeting some of you next year!
