Ok, so what should be our next selection? At the chat, some people suggested some of the movies we've been discussing here and that Val has been so kind as to upload for us.
So what do you think, book or movie? Any other suggestions?
If we choose a movie, it has to have English subtitles. The two we've been discussing lately are La Ligne Droite (The Straight Line) and Carmo Hit the Road.
But it doesn't have to be those. Any other ideas?
Also, when would be a good date? Assuming Wednesday evenings still work the best, how about August 24 or 31?

I´ve seen "Älskar, älskar inte" .... thanks a lot Sverige... I didn´t understand it all but I did understand pretty much of it!
I´ve seen The Straigh Line.
So... Which ever you girls decide... I can´t say nothing because I would be spoiling!!

i just watched the 'die zeit die man leben nennt' ("this life is yours"?) movie sverige posted and i think it would be a good one to watch and discuss.  either this time or next.... (thanks to sverige, it's downloadable for free with english subtitiles which makes it easy for most of us to watch.) |

I got my Carmo Hit the Road DVD today  wooo hooo Now when do I get to watch it hehe. I have about 6 or 7 movies that I've bought this week... Hmmm maybe later tonight |

Amazon failed me!! I cleared my cookies the other day, and somehow that messed up my Amazon account - they saved my billing address and deleted my mailing address! So my Carmo Hit The Road dvd is now sitting on my parent's front porch in Florida... and they are in New York until September. Head drop.

Ok, I have let too much time go by on this, and now we're already well into August. Sorry, I've been distracted by work again. Also it didn't seem like there was a clear answer. You all seem slightly in favor of Carmo Hit the Road. Is it available online with subtitles? Will those of you who want to be able to watch it in time? If you want to participate, please respond to this thread.
As for the date, let's go for Wednesday August 31, just to give ourselves enough time.

Just watched Carmo and LOVED it! For those of you debating whether to buy it... it's worth it! The subtitles don't translate directly, but it's a good move even without the dev factor. |
