devogirl very few guys post in this thread but I wanted to let you know I really enjoy your devo diary. It so well written, fascinating and intriguing. I prefer non-fiction over fiction so I appreciate the voyeuristic look into your life. But how do you remember all those details? Have you kept a journal all these years? I can't even remember the people I've had dinner with three months ago

Wow midwestguy thank you so much!! I'm really glad to have the guys here reading too, especially since not every chapter has devvy content, and there are long stretches where I'm dating AB guys. It's good to know readers are appreciating other aspects. I have always had a good memory but I do feel like it's all getting more distant now, which is why I want to hurry up and finish before I forget more. I didn't keep a journal at the time; in some ways I think it would be harder to write if I had, because at the time I was always caught up in the detail of the moment and it was hard to see the big picture and create a narrative. Also I find that the more I think specifically about a certain scene, the more details come back to me. Not all the conversations happened exactly verbatim, but I remember certain things people said to me very clearly, and I try to work that in. I'm sure if you talked to the real people involved they would have a different version of events but I try to be honest to my experiences. The only time I kept a journal the second year I was dating K, but it's not very illuminating. It's mostly long detailed descriptions of dreams I had, and wondering what they meant, when obviously the dreams were all just expressions of stress and anxiety. Hindsight really is 20/20. Anyway, here is the latest chapter: stories.paradevo.net/2010/06/devo-diary-chapter-33.htmlEnjoy!

devogirl I can tell what parts are devvy but obviously that's not why I read it. I just find all your relationships very interesting. I lived in college dorms for four years and then broke my neck. Moved back to my parents home and lived there several years before I bought a house. I never had a chance to move around the country, experience eclectic roommates, live in less than ideal housing, meet a variety of unique individuals and have multiple relationships. So I'm jealous of those that have and I enjoy hearing their stories.

Hi Devo Girl, Thanks so much for the update, I’m still enjoying the story a lot! I think I remember the mantis from my first days of lurking many many years ago :-)

Wow medora, thank you! I had those photos of the Mantis posted on PD (with his permission) for a while but some uptight prudes complained so we took them down. Here is the next chapter: stories.paradevo.net/2010/06/devo-diary-chapter-37.htmlIt's not all about the Mantis this time but he does appear at the end. Anyway I'm sorry to say the story will be going on hiatus during the holidays, but hopefully it will be back soon in the new year.

Can you repost them since I'm guessing the prudes are long gone . Having pics to go with Devo Diary would make it even better! I've always loved books with pictures and yay for another update before the holidays. Maybe I should save this one to read when I need an escape.
