Ahem... shall I say something about the fact that guys who're not supposed to read this section not only do it but like the posts? Or shall I just ignore this fact and try not to be too annoyed?
(sorry, off topic and useless rant, but I can't delete the post, can I?)

That is against the rules. Sorry I missed it earlier. If you notice this happening please send the mods a PM and we will issue a warning.

ETA: I'm actually not sure where you live, @harmonniousvison. But I know Ath lives in in Europe! i live in europe too, but in the middle of nowhere... Ah...the middlw of nowhere. I've been there! Since we're sharing spotting stories, I'll join in. This is my favorite that happened about six years ago now. I know I've shared on here before so some may know it already. I was sitting in my university's student center and this super cute wheeler passed by. Naturally, I kept seeing him on certain days (not that I was purposefully showing back up at certain times or anything... ) and then one day, while I was sitting in a chair studying, he transferred out of his wheelchair and into the comfy chair beside me. I thought I was going to spontaneously combust haha. So my best friend and I spend the rest of the semester scheming up ways to learn his name and try to get him to ask me out. We were very largely unsuccessful. Flash forward to about six months ago. Me and my boyfriend are at a wedding and who do I see coming up? None of than Cute Guy from college! He was coming to say hello to my boyfriend, who he knew knew from the college years. The whole time we had a mutual friend. Turns out it's a eerily small world.

I miss having the heart rush, the exciting feeling when you see a wheeler .. The more you hang around wheelers for me the less this seems to happen as now if i want to hang out with one il ring them. but when i was younger i used to just absulutly feel amazing when i spotted a wheeler and i couldnt concentrate on anything else. I really hope this feeling will come back. Its so nice reading about it

Luckily London is a big city so I do see a good share of PWDs rolling or strolling around, but it's always a matter of a few seconds! There's a guy I spotted quite a few times around the train station, RBK amp but uses a wheelchair... I suspect he goes regularly to the nearby medical centre because I just found out they do prosthetic fitting in there (I can't believe I ignored this VITAL piece of information for so long! Need to get checked by the doctor more often now). But he's always in a hurry and anyway I'm too shy to ever start a casual conversation with a stranger. Also, close to where I work I've seen multiple times this really cute DAE amp, I think he works for a local company. Still, all I can do is steal a long look and try not to get caught because I don't want to be creepy... Dooo it you can do it honestly.. literaly trip infront of the guy flat on your face oops lol youl have to say hi now Only joking but i understand your shy but there is nothing bad that can result from saying hi I bet youl really be glad you did ! The fact you keep seeing him , is a sign!

No chance I can ever approach someone I find attractive, in public, without being in some sort of social gathering and without someone to introduce me. And even then, it would probably be too stressful and I would get an anxiety attack. All that's left for me is becoming a crazy cat lady... No wait, I'm allergic to cats

Maybe you could build your self upto it one day

I am in Stockholm visiting a friend from uni and I only got here yesterday and I've seen so many guys in wheelchairs going around (8 or 9 maybe just yesterday afternoon and today) I was wondering if there's an event or something going on somewhere here.

It's weird. If I'm out in my home town I see one of the three sort of local wheelchair guys maybe once a month, including my neighbour who I obviously see more often at home but even that's like a couple of times a week. But the guys I mentioned are only the ones who I actually took notice of and five of them were 'my type'. I probably saw the same number of women in wheelchairs today and yesterday and a few people using electric wheelchairs as well. And in such horrible weather!

Went to a global athletic event yesterday, chatted with some wheelers (and their wives) and took heaps of photos. Super athletic, super hot wheelers from all over the world. For me these guys are like superstars. So awesome to meet people I've seen online for years

I apologize, I haven't made my way over to the Dev section much; I was getting a lot of the newness and excitement of discovering this place out of my system, and now I'll probably migrate more towards the Dev-only posts.
I don't get to see any wheelers very often AT ALL. I live in a rural area of hard-working oil people or farmers, and I haven't spotted one since moving here a year ago. I moved from an urban area where they were everywhere, of course.
My local grocery store at my former city; there was a guy who worked there for 15 years or more. We had gone to middle school and high school together and then he got the job there. He has CP; he has a limp, limited use of his right hand, and probably muscle weakness around the mouth because I know he has a bit of constant drool. Anyway, he still grew up to be a man, and I'm a woman, and I loved going into the store to see him. I know he was super attracted to me as well. You know that "vibe" you get when you're really attracted to someone, and they feel it too, so there's this heavy, awkward stillness in the air between you, like you're both holding your breath? That's how it was. I would break out in a sweat every time I saw him.
The sad thing is, I don't know, he probably (maybe?) just assumed I was always "being nice" to him. I was one of those who was "nice" to the disabled kids at school, including him. He probably had no idea what I really thought about him. I've got to get some more confidence up, and learn how to do this correctly! I'm far away from him now, but I don't want to keep missing a bunch of opportunities throughout life. I miss seeing his face though!

That's a toughy, partly because spottings come in waves, either feast or famine, and partly because how hot a guy looks often depends on where I'm at with dev highs and lows. Off the top of my head the best would be my dream man, Team GB paralympic rower Tom Aggar, wearing black-tie at a charity bash in London. Hot wasn't the word. I've also seen him at Heathrow Airport wearing shorts. I don't think he saw my tongue hanging out! R. You saw Tom Aggar?? Omg I'm super jealous! He is gorgeous!
