This is a German song, but it has English subtitles. It is very fitting to what is going on with the World Cup in Qatar right now. It gives me chills to listen to it, especially toward the end.

Here is something...if you've never heard yodeling, this is a very famous one by Hubert von Goisern and Zabine. He is an Austrian singer and songwriter and is very popular in Germany.
The short explanation here: In Europe, yodeling is still a major feature of folk music (Volksmusik) from Switzerland, Austria, and southern Germany and can be heard in many contemporary folk songs, which are also featured on regular TV broadcasts.
This is an eargasm for me :-)

Spotify wrapped just happened which is always exciting. Here are my most listened artists. Don't know how Norah Jones snuck in there. I would have switched it for Little Dragon.

I'm taking a brief excursion away from the usual heavy rock and metal I often listen to for one of my favorite 90s alternative rock tunes. This one's a well-known classic hit.

Probably the coldest opening lyric of any song ever. Made me clutch my pearls and say "Jiminy Christmas!" when I first heard it as a kid.

Fall of Efrafa is great and so is the book it's named after. y'know i've never actually read watership down. but i feel like its one of those books i've heard enough about that i already know everything that happens in it. in other news, i woke up this morning with a song stuck in my head from a band i haven't listened to since like 2008.

Here's my new obsession. Kinda like Sylvan Esso by way of Grizzly Bear. I really like her voice and the strange instrumentals. It's basically the perfect mix for me. I also love the tongue-in-cheek name.
