Even though I'm more of a metalhead, this is one of my favorite alternative rock bands. Nice song choice!

Have some writing due this week and lofi hip hop videos on youtube are what's getting me through. Also avatar! NO YOU DIDN'T!!!!! This song always hits me right in the damned feels.. although this version not as much... which would be great for studying too.. don't need to be caught up in too many feels when writing and reading. LOVE AVATAR!! LOVE Uncle Iroh. Leg walker service member me related a lot to Zuko... After my injury related a lot to post letting go of anger and hate Zuko when he draws from a different source for his bending... And now I feel myself transitioning to Iroh right after losing his son Lu Tien... no longer buying the war mongering and desire to pass on the fire nation's greatness... settling into finding joy.. enjoying good food... good teas and other good drinks.. trying to surround myself with wise and good hearted people.. mentoring the next generation.

We are currently experiencing "once in a generation" multi-day windstorm that has taken out a lot of trees and power lines, and has resulted in fanning the horrible wildfires. There have been a lot of bad fires in recent years, but it's never been this close before. I'm deep in the metro so my home is safe, luckily. I've been seeing a lot of pictures like this one, which has no filter.... it's just red outside. Orange and dark at 4 in the afternoon. But hey, I've got an ace up my sleeves. Hard to drown in feelings of existential doom when you've got this groovy soundtrack brought to you by a windswept mullet with agonizingly sculpted fringe.

I don't know if Coheed and Cambria has any new albums coming up. This was one of my favorite tracks back in the day.

My hearing went downhill around 2012, so my music repertoire ends there. Now that I have a CI, I still enjoy listening to music from then, as well as Spanish music (Salsa, merengue, etc), music from the band Skank ( Brazilian portuguese), and music without lyrics (Ronald Jenkees, old school EDM, etc) So funny to me, as a Brazilian, that anyone would listen to Skank outside of Brazil, lol They're said to be The Last Brazilian Rock Band™, which is too bad. We used to have an amazing rock scene in the 80s/90s, before pagode took over. Are you familiar with other brazilian bands? Like RPM , Ultraje a Rigor, Legião Urbana (although this one would probably require mad portuguese skills to enjoy, haha). Also, which country are you from? I've always wondered if our music culture somehow leaks into the neighbor south american countries.
