I’m watching Southpark from the beginning on HBO Max, and I need to recommend Season 2 Episode 5. It describes the ableism that pisses me off so much, so perfectly, in the last few seconds of the episode. And the crowd’s reaction to the PWD after she blows up on them is so spot on. Fuck man. An offensive, racist show like Southpark knocked it out of the park back in 1998. Also, this shit is super nostalgic. My goal is to get to the end (26 seasons). I didn't kill Kenny, I just ran over his foot.

I am watching Prison Break again on the Disney Channel. It’s great to catch up with old faces, although I have seen it before, I think it’s a great series.

I’ve been binge watching a mix of parks and recreation, random assorted anime shows, and Malcom in the Middle.

What We Do In The Shadows started again and I couldn't be happier. Matt Berry is an international treasure. And I love Nadja of Antipaxos and her little doll.

Just watched Oppenheimer and I would highly recommend it. Christopher Nolan showed his talent for storytelling skills yet again. And the scene where they test the bomb was intense. The bomb explodes and it's just silent, we just see the great billowing atomic cloud that is kind of beautiful... Then a great blast of sound like some giant twisted mutated monster roaring. This elicits a cheer from the scientists but if anything, I just felt a great big sinking feeling. Knowing what that monster of a bomb was capable of was nothing short of terrifying. And it was truly terrifying seeing what a small group of humans could do, like create something powerful enough to kill hundreds of thousands of people. The movie makes the comparison to Prometheus and as Prometheus brought fire to humans J. Robert Oppenheimer brought atomic bombs to humankind, which is much worse.

It was such an amazing master piece! The score is going to haunt me for a while, and the way Nolan works the muting of color through the movie is such a spot on visual metaphore for Oppenheimer’s evolution as man, and his reconciliation with himself of his work.

It reminds me of the song "Fight Fire With Fire" by Metallica. I prefer nuclear energy over nuclear bombs hands down.

As a man of science, I went into Oppenheimer hoping for something along the lines of Interstellar. Even though Oppenheimer had nowhere near the amount of science, I highly enjoyed it. I agree that Nolan's storytelling technique made this a unique experience that kept your attention until the last scene. Thankfully, the bomb did not set fire to the atmosphere, so the bomb testing scene was not the final scene. Spoiler-not-spoiler.

We watched the Pride Parade episode last night. Laszlo and Nadja and the doll were all on their A game. I am *obsessed* with that doll. SO funny.

The movie makes the comparison to Prometheus and as Prometheus brought fire to humans J. Robert Oppenheimer brought atomic bombs to humankind, which is much worse. The movie was definitely a work of art in Nolan fashion. The juxtaposition of cheering interjected with the artistic way he created that sinking feeling of death and terror was a work of art. The way he plays with sound and silence was part of what made this a work of art too. It was personal for me too having been in combat. I wonder what Jewish watchers thought of it.. as that seemed a driving force for him and many of the scientists.. that they had to beat the Nazis to it. The game of politics and how out of depth he was in it, at first... the way it ended though... just.. *chef's kiss* Agree with Zach that this is a movie that needs to be seen. As far as the statement about atomic power being much worse... I mean per the definition of an analogy I think it hits the mark. Have to disagree with Zack here. Fire was CRITICAL for us advancing as a civilization and species.. For man of the past having the knowledge of fire (because of its power.. from the gods).. was wielding power of the gods. For better or worse so is the knowledge of physics and astronomy... that led to the atomic age. We are still in our infancy of using and understanding it... BUT ultimately these forces are the forces of the universe.. and if we are ever going to survive outside the lifespan of our own sun, we WILL have to master it.. and not use it to destroy ourselves. I mean the fact that the movie Oppenheimer has sparked this type of conversation and discourse is more than enough of a statement of how good it is.
