I'm totally sucked into their youtube channel. They have SO many videos so I haven't come close to seeing them all but find it all fascinating. Its crazy how she translates for him all the time and also fascinating how sometimes she doesn't talk at all and they just have captions. I didn't realize how easy it is for deaf people to eat while having a conversation or how useful facetime is for them to be able to talk on the phone.

Oh my gosh they are so adorable. Deaf guys are SOOOOO freaking HAWT. I've read like four books this past month with deaf characters and it's awakened the deafness dev in me and this video came at the perfect timing. Sign language is so beautiful. Thanks for sharing Emma

It is such a beautiful language! I like their dynamic and how they respect each other's time for speaking, and I especially love how expressive his face is when signing.

Thanks lemons, They are so cute together. Really enjoyed watching the video. They seem to really have a nice handle on their communication. I was wondering if he read lips. Glad he mentioned it at the end. Her signs seem so fluid while his so precise. Just style, ya think?

Agreed. After watching some more of their videos I see that he knows and speaks a lot of different types of sign language while she just speaks the one that relates exactly to English. I'm guessing that's part of the reason why. I had no idea there were different types. I'm still hooked on their videos, 2 days later.

Jessica Arevalo is a girl I've followed on YouTube for a while for her fitness stuff but she recently started dating a quad, Garrett Greer (sooooooo super hotttttt). She posts a LOT of fitness stuff but you can find the ones Garrett (or GG as he's referred to) is in. Super duper awesome couple!

Emma that is a great video, thanks for sharing! It's amazing how many videos they have uploaded in just over a year. I was also surprised that she was speaking and signing at the same time, because you are not supposed to do that. The CODA Brothers sign their videos then add a voice over after (btw their videos are great too--check them out). But from what I gather, he taught her a variation of ASL that follows the grammar of English. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manually_coded_EnglishIf you study ASL at school this is frowned on but if it works for them, why not? As for fluid vs rigid signing I think it's just a personal choice.

I saw in another video of theirs, its called pidgeon signing or something like that. Signing that exactly mimics english. They actually talk about what they use and ASL quite a lot. Its super interesting.

He said he uses slang when talking to his friends, but when he talks to her he's more literal or so...I felt she was a bit disappointed, but could be me being overly sensitive. I wonder why he doesn't like using slang with her I find sign language very cool and would love to learn! I saw a guy in the line in front of me who was having trouble communicating with the cashier, so I asked if he spoke english... I was of no help because they needed rather a brazilian sign language translator lol...and the only thing I can sign is the beginning of the brazilian anthem. So very useful

They're both do charismatic and adorable. I've never found myself drawn to deaf folks before, but hot damn... I have always been into deafs ... A friend has a cochlea implantate and once, he interrupted our conversation saying: "Sorry, I have to change my battery, otherwise I can't hear you.# He removed the thing from his head and this gesture was so sexy to me... 😅 And I love how he is focussing on my lips while I talk. Never told him though...

I saw in another video of theirs, its called pidgeon signing or something like that. Signing that exactly mimics english. They actually talk about what they use and ASL quite a lot. Its super interesting. Actually there's three grammar systems you can use with ASL signs. ASL grammar, which is completely different from English grammar (actually closer to Japanese grammar), Pidgin Signed English, which is signed the way a three year old talks (think Cookie Monster), and Signed Exact English/Manually Coded English, which is word-for-word English and even has signs for morphemes like '-ed'.

Mac Potts did another video for the same channel. He's one of several blind people describing how they know a partner is hot:
So cute!
The same channel also has a new video of deaf people giving hints on how to flirt with them:
