Hi!
So lately I've noticed that there's a thread for videos of ANYTHING, and then there's the devvy movie thread. But there doesn't seem to be a thread for videos of potentially interesting, devvy content. I'm not really talking about flat-out "dev porn", but more just cool videos of general interest that include disability themes. Aaaand as a self-professed YouTube whore online video fan, I thought I might try to get the ball rolling.
Here are two vids I've stumbled upon recently, Ingrid Michaelson's music video which features the Deaf West Theatre, and a super adorbz video about kids trying to describe color to a blind guy.

This was pretty interesting it's always fun to see how kids react to things. Some of them seem so guarded/nervous here!

These are great kat! I love the kids ones. Kids just always react so honestly to stuff.

Am I the only one creepy enough to watch videos of people transferring? Nope. But I guess that's what kat meant with "no flat out dev-porn".

myrrh no, you are so not alone in this. I could spend hours just watching videos of dak amp guys who are getting in and out of their wheelchair transferring to floor, couch, regular chair, car... I don't like it if they struggle/ I love onesie who are super strong so they carry their upper bodies on arms without any difficulty. That's the sexiest move ever and I see the way high dak apm move as the most beautiful balet literally. I could watch them all day....

I enjoyed reading some of the comments on the blind guy video (from the first post on this thread). Check out all those likes! I thought he was so cute, and I'm glad I was not the only one.

Deafness isn't my thing but I loved this video. It's about how this cute couple met. The guy is deaf and the girl is hearing. She knew no sign language when they first met. They are so cute. It seems so natural how they talk but I wonder what the reality of it is like. It seems like she would have to do a LOT of translating all the time. It seems like they have been together for 7 years so it seems to be working. I'm not sure that's something I could do.

That's a cute video, lemons! It doesn't compare 100% but I found some similarities with the language speech barrier I have. For example, my parents don't speak english....like her parents who don't really speak sign language (like it seems her mom learned it a bit but probably not enough to talk)...so making those videos made them like the boyfriend more because they got to understand him better. (Omg maybe I have to make videos like this too lol) But they're a super cute couple, seem to get along very well
