Hi bluefoxwelcome to PD from another German. Thanks for your intro and of course it did raise the interest for you in us. Even though it seems there are so many Germans here, because a lot of them welcomed you already above, I don't believe there is a higher number of German devs than from other countries and I highly doubt it has something to do with a certain culture or not. People here are from all over the world. When it comes to that, my experience is that Germans are rather presumed as somewhat harsh, very direct and straight forward and sometimes come across as rude, so "nuturing" and "caring" is probably not the first thing people would notice about a German. For people to get to know a German on a deeper level, they would have to be patient and not get scared away too quickly...then they will realize we are actually pretty deep As for the personality types, that is indeed interesting, I am an ISFJ and I loved reading about those things when I did the test. I am amazed at your young age, lots of times in the past I have said how it is nowadays for young people to already be able to know that they are dev or whatever identity they consider themselves. Technology has definitely changed that over the past thirty-something years. At eighteen I knew nothing about myself really... So with that, welcome once again, great intro and hopefully you will become a constant here. Looking forward to your pariticipation. Oh, one more thing, if you want to share, what disabilities interest you?

Whew, so many answers to... answer to :") Firstly, I want to mention once more: I forgot the time zones, it's not tomorrow for me yet, you're all congratulating a day early! ^^"! I don't want to disclose too much, but I'll say the vocational training is for a translator kind of job. ^^ Also, I've heard about the 16 types, I'm unsure what to think of the concept. Haven't put up with it too much though, I must admit. I don't use any clear schemes like that for character design if that's what you thought ^^', I pretty much passively document what I come up with eventually Quickly did a test about those MBTI-types - I got INTJ, but I'm not sure I can relate to its description. I can relate a lot to the thinking differently though. >_> Many people I know play WoW on and off, i guess such is the nature of a 15 year old game... :v Have been into classic much at release, but my obligation-ridden guild kind of chased me away again. Dark Souls sounds really good with a storyline to work to uncover, I guess I'll likely look into it, thanks I can recommend Dishonored. It's also pretty replayable as the player decides how the story continues at unusually many points. ^^ I think Germans being overly direct is two thirds a cliché, think it heavily depends on the region. So while it might be true for the north and the rhine area, I think farther towards the south, people get noticably more easy-going - we're a weird people I also think what counts more in that question is what you're actually like inside and less what you come off as ^^ also thinking the nature vs. nurture thing is more meant in relation to whether devness is hereditary or a learned pattern. I reflect on myself much and think a lot, so that might be why I knew what's up with me around age 15 - I also was never in denial, so that quickened things. I'd rather only disclose what I'm into on the devs only, though, at least for now. I hope you understand ^^ Still really nervous about leaving the lurk mode... ": )) Also no, I don't play chess ^^' I'm having a bit of a hard time keeping up with all the answers, so I'm sorry if I forgot something! " But I'm glad PD is still so active after so many years. Also a weird feeling talking to some of you whose posts I've been reading for months to even years for some ^^"! Edit: oh, the smiley weirdness again. Guess I'll just be ignoring this quirk of proboards :$

I'm probably going to start WoW classic when I get my new computer, but I think that might be a mistake WoW can be really addicting I should know I lost a friend to that game he does nothing but play it.
Anyway welcome.

Dark Souls sounds really good with a storyline to work to uncover, I guess I'll likely look into it, thanks I can recommend Dishonored. It's also pretty replayable as the player decides how the story continues at unusually many points. ^^ Souls is also amazing for cooperative play and PVP, if that's your thing (and you can elect to play offline if it's not). I would recommend Dark Souls Remastered as a jumping off point; Souls 3 and Bloodborne are really really great, but maybe less so for deciding whether you enjoy that style of game. And Souls 2 is just meh, in my view.
I tried Dishonored once years ago but didn't get very far and most likely got distracted by one MMO or another. I remember it being sort of a cross between Fallout and Bioshock -- both of which I adore -- so it probably deserves another attempt on my part. XD
But yah, let me know what you think of Souls! ^^;

I think compared to Americans, Germans tend to come across as very direct and straight forward, which is not necessarily a bad thing.
And btw, you don't have to disclose anything you don't want to. Perfectly okay.

Uuuuhh, you are an INTJ. These are described as the MASTERMINDS. Elon Musk also is an INTJ. That's really impressive to me. Yes, sometimes the Germans are direct. But i like the dudes who express their explanations in a smooth way. Whether or not, they can say what they want. If they lie i can see it in their eyes... Due to the fact my disability is obvious, people treat oneself differently. Sometimes they are very unsure how to treat us the right way. It feels they treat us like an alien sometimes. It's part of their stereotype thinkin which im fed up with. Often people put us in a box. In my village these stereotyped thinkin is unfortunately extreme. They think like either you are sporty and got power or you are almost a weak and dead person. But sometimes people was wondering about me and i teach them some manners in showing them the opposite YayYayYay... They have to think twice before they make a judgement. So i know what you mean by the thoughts of your mother by drawing your picture with the age of 6. Due to this i love having found this community to be open-minded and share thoughts. It also helps me knowing some other wheelers who support each other. We dont have to be ashamed for what we are but we rather have to explore, analyze and enjoy the way of life. A humble heart mixed with inner strength despite physical weakness is in fact the true strength for me. This remembers me to Spiderman with the quote: "With great power comes great responsibility" :-)
