I'm just curious, Has anyone actually started a relationship (bf-gf, sexual) with someone they met on here?
p.s. still would love to meet any dev. in the southern cali. area. lets get together for drinks or hang out and have some fun.
p.p.s. Where is the photo page of our lovely dev's?

I've met a couple of guys from the board. For dinner. For more than dinner. But nothing that lasted long. I think others have met and gotten along quite well.

Thats cool. How did you meet? where these guys in your area? It just seems that people are so spread out that geography is the biggest hindrance.

RT, we hooked up through the board. Geography has proved to be the biggest problem although there was one instance where we just didn't hit it off. I am a far different sort of person than he was looking for.

Ive had a few rendezvous from here & on line in general & I can honestly say that geography is not the biggest hindrance (in my opinion). A huge problem that presents itself is the the perception or mis perception we have regarding the other party. After "meeting" on line it is very important to really know who you plan on meeting in person. Not to brag, but a girl from Australia came here to meet me a few yrs ago & we didn't get along as well as we'd hoped or fantasized we would. I currently have a huge crush on a sexy sweet awesome lady i met on here & geography is the least of my worries. I feel a very special bond w/ this woman & am happy to have her in my life, regardless of what happens. If youre reading this, you know who u are!  |

hmmm,,,maybe, where this unique group is concerned, distance is less of an impediment than in the general internet populace,,,out there ive had mtgs w/ ladys from TX, MS, MO, & NJ but i havent had even a sniff of interest from any of the loverly grrlz here,,,which isnt that surprising given the age demoographix...  |

I'm just curious, Has anyone actually started a relationship (bf-gf, sexual) with someone they met on here? Andy and I (andyc251) met through Paradevo and have been together for 7 months now. As crappy as the site can be at times, we owe knowing of each other at all to PD. And we never would have met otherwise, seeing as how he's from the UK, and I'm stuck here in southern America. He was the one who ventured out and made the biggest sacrifice of coming to the U.S. (and still does on a regular basis) for our initial meeting, but when I can I try to make it up to Canada to spend time with him while he's there. My next stop will be Scotland for the whole meet-the-parents deal  . But I still can't wait. This is us a few weeks ago in Orange Beach. The title: Formality At Its Finest *Picture Deleted   |

Oh, and to answer the question, I've never met anyone from this board. There have been a few times that I've come close, but the stars weren't aligning right at that moment. One day, someone will come on vacation near me. |

I would love to meet some of the wheelie guys here. How do you guys hook up? Do you exchange email addresses? Do you chat via instant messenger? Do you talk on the telephone? I guess I am classified as a dev since I am attracted to chair users. Since I am not necessarily only interested in romance, I'd love to form meaningful friendships. Seems the wheelie men here are more interested in intimate relationships than just friendships, though. I mentioned more than once, I love it here because most of the wheelers are intelligent, humorous, and open-minded. The west coast is geographically the closest to where I'm at. |

I'm really just here for the conversation, knowledge, friendships, etc. When I said I'd like to meet someone from the board, I meant, like, for lunch. And head. Okay, that was a joke. ;-) But really, I'm not seeking out anything here. It's not the purpose of this board. And to answer your question, I imagine it's a combination of the above. I'm sure members (who have easily accessible private message boxes) are more frequently contacted, for their accessibility alone. |
