For all others, I didn't mention I speak 4 languages, French, Spanish and German, so accents can also be in connection with those languages. melita I'm not sure that's a blindness thing! We love talking shit just as much as, or maybe more than the next dude.

a very interesting discussion for all concerned. And just you wait...googles self-driving cars will be a thing someday soon! Granted I would say that in Europe driving is less paramount than it is in America, however. And Yes Lamara, as you have seen, assistance is not something I require an inordinate amount of haha...except when cooking your lovely risotto, of course...then assistance is more than welcome!

hahaha. for the conventional things, long hair is the biggest one, as it is for most blind guys. A nice voice and nice accent, a good laugh...I tend to like really expressive voices haha you can tell a lot about someone from their voice.

Hi, I...think I got where you were coming from on this? However I'm confused as to why you think that would detract from your relationship so much that you would choose not to have one with someone who is blind? Of course everyone has their biases! I'm just hoping to keep the record straight. I go to work, cook, visit friends and all that, independently. So maybe you should have a bit more contact with someone who is blind, before deciding what it could or would be like? Also, like sighted people, we aint all the same!

Hi, Let me touch on a few things I saw in this thred, now that I'm back home...was reading on the IPhone for my earlier post so could not go into detail. !. Justagirl I must take issue with one of your earlier statements regarding how you believe blind guys to not be as independent/intellectually or perceptually capable of seeing things or perceiving them, as you do. But I'm not 100% clear on how you meant that, so would you be able to expand on it? I don't want to go off on a rant if I've got the wrong end of the stick here. 2. How do people meet blind guys? Actually, as a blind male, I could turn this around and ask, how can we meet attractive women? Its not easy to do and in fact this is often why we choose to date within the blind community itself...as the lines of communication are at least open to us then. But the simple answer is to approach us...we don't bite...normally not anyway. Oh, and can I offer one key bit of advice to any blindness devs...have long hair! I'm not kidding, almost every blind guy I have ever met is into girls with long hair, including myself...I don't know why this is, but I have found it to be the case. Me

Hi,
I find all the above fascinating! I'm sorry, I don't mean to make that sound like I'm studying a bunch of lab rats...but yeah, I do find such things really interesting. As for me, as a blind guy, I think of it like this - if a girl is going to look at me and just see disability, then that's not someone I want to be with, irrespective of whether her seing disability is a turn-on for her or not. I'm a lawyer, a musician, a bit of an activist at times...there is a lot more than just disability here. And I hope that she can see that. But on the other hand, if she enjoys disability and we get on well...then who am I to complain? Just to satisfy your questions: I do use a cain, which of course does lead to its share of feeling around for things/tapping away down the street. I do not read braille and use a computer for everything. I make a damn nice cup of coffee and mix a strong wiskey and coke...just a bit of extra info there! Anyways, my guitar style is a lot of tommy emmanuel, Brad Paisley, a bit of stevie Ray Vaughan and some Mark Nopfler too. Wish I could play any of them half as wlel as the originals but what can one do.

I have not done much...though I always wondered how lsd ETC would work on someone who is blind...we can't see things, clearly lol. Weed just chills me out and makes me think sound is covered in a massive blanket or something

HI,
Can a newb chime in here? I take issue with the belief that disabled guys make less than non-disabled ones. I have a law job so I do quite ok...So whilst it can be that the non-disabled member of the relationship becomes the breadwinner, I feel like sometimes the other side of that needs to be heard.

Hi,
Lamara does indeed know me in real life. I think I can speak for us both in saying that whilst we get on very well, neither of us are quite sure that a relationship/activity is in the cards. I am not faking...not sure how to prove that beyond what has already been said...guess someone is just going to have to message me and find out. As for playing guitar, I read braille with my left hand i.e. my fretting hand, so using a plectrum doesn't come into it. I do use a plectrum, but give me a thumb pic and a walking bassline and I'm happy. As for reading the computer screen ETC, I use JAWS, which is a screen reading package. Lamara has heard it in person...it runs quite quickly and I think she struggled to understand a word of it lol.
Anyways, thank you all so much for your welcome. Would any blindness devs care to explain a few things to me? 1. What is it about blindness that is so attractive to you? 2. How do you manifest that attraction? What I mean is, if you're being intimate with a blind guy, is that enough, just knowing that he cannot see you? Or are there other roleplay things that people do? Like all kinks, I know that variation is the spice of life so of course there are many answers, but as I have a lot of rather unique kinks myself I'm fascinated by those of others.

Hi, Firstly, yes I can access youtube links...using them instead of imoticons is a cool idea actually. In any case, what a warm welcome! I tend to lerk quite a bit but I will try to actively get involved here, as this place seems very friendly. I have so many questions also . And, "braille welcome?" Lol I've not read braille in 10 years or so haha. fingers scarred up from playing too much guitar...the trade off was so worth it though! Matt

Hi all,
Well, I'm new around here and thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a guy, 25 and am completely blind. I'm alawyer, guitarist and am based in the UK. I met a devotee on another website and she mentioned that this site existed for people like her. I confess, as a blind person I've never actually heard about such attractions...but I have plenty of kinks of my own so I'm not judging. Its fascinating to me actually and I'd like to learn more about it and discover what about physical disability and blindness in general is attractive to those who find it so? How is that attraction incorporated into relationships with a blind and a sighted partner? i.e. how does it manifest?
I'm always open to chat and whatever else, so feel free to get in touch.
Matt
