For me its always been predominantly quads. It's developed to include md, some cp guys. I guess a fairly wide range. Normally darker hair, blue or green eyes attract me too. I don't mind a bit of well maintained facial hair as well and definitely someone who takes the time and pride in their appearance.

I would have always said quads... but I have found that paras are oh, so wonderful as well! So- as long as he is a wheeler that is okay by me.
He must be a guys guy however- no feminine qualities.

I always find that when I am at the beach/boardwalk I see more than the usual amount of people with disabilities.
Today I happened to see a very, very good looking young (late 20's/early 30's) blind guy. He had the white cane, but he also was with another guy who's shoulder he was holding onto for guidance. He almost looked like he was in 'training' and didn't look as if he'd been blind from birth. He was tall and tan and well muscled.
I am not usually into blind guys one way or another, but this guy was hot. They went into a bar. I hope they had a good time.

Welcome to the board! Yes, most women here like wheeler guys, but the board is really open to any devotee. Please don't feel out of place. A lot of us have wide-ranging preferences, and it's not uncommon for preferences to change over time. Jump right in and don't be afraid to post things relating to amputees if you want. There are certainly other members who share your interest. I totaly agree,! My devness has reallly changed over the years! From just looking @ paras I've opened my mind to quads deaf guys crutches etc! Never ever crossed my mind till recently! Are u into anything else?

Like most of you I have a wide range of interests in terms of disability but really nothing nearly as strong as amputees. I have always been interested in all physical disabilities but not in the sexual way. For me the only disability that was a sexual turn on was amputees. Its a little hard to explain. I guess I'm interested in a educational, medical way. For example I'm fascinated by all the shows on the discovery health channel about people who are conjoined twins, have skin disorders, were born with their legs fused together, etc but it is not a sexual fascination and hence the gender of the person does not matter (I'm straight). I like to know a lot about other disabilities but don't think I'd ever date a guy with another disability. I did date a guy with CP for a little bit to "try out" being a dev; he was the first guy with a disability I dated. While I was interested mildly in his CP it was not really a turn on.
So for the people who have changed what disability they like.... can you elaborate? Did you stop liking the first disability or just add other disabilities you were into. Was it always a sexual thing or just an interest?

Well, it's like parax said, you see someone who strikes your interest, and you end up liking a disability that you never thought about before. For me, it's changed a lot over the years, but the changes happen very slowly. Sometimes I stop liking something, sometimes not. For instance, like Rob I was fascinated by plaster casts and crutches when I was a kid, but eventually lost interest. I've been interested in just about every disability at some point, some more strongly or more persistently than others. Sometimes I'll see something that strikes me in just the right way, and I'll be obsessing for months, or years even, then sometimes a particular interest just fades away. I can't really explain it better than that, it's really random and there is no logic to it.

It's funny you mention CP deo11f.... Just recently CP has been a turn on for me. Can't pinpoint why or why now.

For the people who like paras and quads, can you explain what your attraction is? Specifically I'm curious what is better about say a low level para and a short stumped DAK (double above knee) amputee or quadriplegic and high level quad amputee?
I love DAKs but paras do very little for me. For me its that I really like stumps and the guys ability to easily get around when out of their chair. There is also something about seeing a guy missing such a large part of their body but still be able to live a regular life.

dae011f- Of all the disabilities amputee does absolutely nothing to me sexually. I wouldn't be opposed to going out with an amputee, but as far as my devness, that disability is just neutral.
One thing that has been in my re-occurring fantasies for years is to describe how things feel. For example- I actually asked my guy if I could describe to him how things feel to me... tight, warm, pressure, deep etc... and I describe in detail things he can't see of feel. Not all the time, just sometimes. I tend to be very expressive anyway, so that is a real turn on for me. He likes it... probably not as much as me however! lol....
So, if I was with an amputee I couldn't describe it, because there would be nothing there.

I´ve come to the conclusion, that I can´t pinpoint my exact preferences, I just know it, when I see it . An intelligent, kind guy with a good sense of humour and a nice appearance (which, in my book, can be many different kinds) can in reality have any kind of physical disability and be hot and a turn-on. A huge no-no and complete turn-off are men who are mentally challenged/psychologically disabled. I would say retarded, but I hear Sarah Palin is against that word. Oh heck. I say it anyway ;D. It just means late, so no harm in that.

(You say: "can´t see or feel").

Devodiva- oh, my.. no. Sorry, I wasn't clear.
I meant he could see what was going on at that moment.
You know how sometimes when you are laying together you can't see what is going on under the covers or below your waist because you are looking in each others eyes or eyes are closed or something. Those times.
If I am pressing my knees into his hips and he is looking at my face- I tell him what I am doing and how it feels to me.
However, sometimes I wish he was blind... you know, in the morning, before makeup and bedhead! I can be scary.

...However, sometimes I wish he was blind... you know, in the morning, before makeup and bedhead! I can be scary. LOL!!!... I suppose it´s every women wish!!... In my case, after 15 years of relationship, a daughter, and a couple of visit to the hospital... The makeup and bedhead are the least of my concerns! We get up at 6 am to prepare my girl to the school, while my partner prepare her breakfast; I help her dressing. Then, after the breakfast I comb her hair and prepare her school bag. At 6.35 my kid and her father leave (one to the school and the other to the office) That´s when I can use the bathroom to do all the "morning ritual"... so, imagine... Makeup is out of my list in the morning!! LOL!!
