ya, fer sure...a sci guy's movements (of the non-bowel variety! ;D) can definitely be a big turn on for me.
i certainly don't get off on someone having difficulty with something...but the usual movements involved in regular day to day activities...yup, the visual of movement is definitely a big component for me.

What about the non-hygiene stuff, like transfers. Turn on or just interesting? I thought it was a turn on for all devs. I don't know about "all devs" but for me they are a turn on. Transfers, moving around, handeling things,... OK, edit added: I just read the other girsl replays - Chans is really sweat and emotional, I liked it - so I think I need to clarify the above: If "turn on" means "sexual arousal" in that question, the ansver is NO but I realy enjoy watching the "show".

Just how often can a person w/SCI expect a bowel/bladder accident to occur? Is one ore likely than the other? When people get in to a routine, accidents very rarely happen. Personally I may have my condom come off during the night, but this may only happen about 4 times ayear. bowell accidents maybe 8 ayear, but that can obviously be more or less depending on medical situations. Thing is we are used too them and can cope with the situation same as a non disabled person

i hated the days of the condom cath...since i had the supra-pubic cath surgery done its made bla dder accidents rare,,,and generally self-induced...as in, forgetting to empty the leg bag...the best thing is the fact that ive not had a symptomatic uti since i got the SP...the avoidance of bowel problems, in my case, are tied to making a mistake about what i eat,,,unless a virus is the cause...

Wheelie37, Is a condom attachment another way of saying you use an external catheter? I only have experience with supra pubic, cause my ex boyfriend had one.

No a catheter goes in through the penis too the bladder to constantly empty it. I use what is basically like a sex condom with an end adapted too fit on tube of leg bag. Condom is connected too my penis by a urihesive strip (sort of like a stick strip of gum) which holds it securely in place with an air tight seal if you would like a picture email me and i would be happy to show you

Hi Wheelie37, Thanks for that info, tho, I was kinda aware of that. I guess, I was not very clear in my question.
I am kinda into a guy at the moment, who is a c5 quad. He can void on his own, and uses an external cath, as he told me. I was just wondering if that would mean he uses a condom cath. I didn't want to go into the subject too deep with him at that stage. Ahem... But I guess, it's two different things. Right?

yes, a catheter and a condom are two different things I am the same as him. Wear a condom and void by myself, or too empty fully do a catheter

wheelie, over here in the states what u simply call a condom is referred to as a condom cath,,a texas catheter,,,or external catheter...
edited to add: in the bad ol' days b4 i had any sort of govt entitlements,,medicare/caid i would cut the condom part off of and replace it with a regular trojan condom w/ the "receptacle end" cut off,,,it was much cheaper than buying the pre-built condom caths...have u ever tried the new freedom brand condom caths that have the adhesive on the inside already?...while i always had probs keeping any condom cath on that brand worked better than any other including the type u describe,,

If you think the Freedom Caths are good, try the Rochester Medical Wide-Band caths. They are self-adhering and stay on way better. Oh, and they're the only company that I know of that have external caths that come in XL size. Model is 36105.
