I like to think that my habits of consumption are pretty decent. I don't eat meat or single-packaged food, most of my clothes and furniture are second hand, and my primary concern when I got my car was fuel economy. And then, yesterday, the sun came out for the first time after another [seemingly] interminable grey winter. Have any of you seen Farscape, the space opera put out by Jim Henson Studios with fabulous puppets/animatronics? It's not important (but really, it's great, go watch it.) What is important, is one of the characters is actually a humanoid plant, and experiences a "photogasm" when exposed to bright light. I swear to god, guys, that was me yesterday. Every drop of my blood is from northern latitudes, and I've been known to get a sunburn just walking to my car after work. But oh, the sun after a long shitty winter of sideways rain... So anyway, it was sunny out and I had to get my sunglasses. This is where the consumerism comes in. I made the mistake of going to the optometrist right after watching Taxi Driver and listening to a ton of The Sisters of Mercy, and I ended up dropping like half a paycheck on prescription Caravans with the green-tinted lenses. They're pretty old now, and have a sad scratch where they jumped off my face into a rock, but they're still my babies. You bet your sweet ass I'm going to whip those things out any time the sun is out, like the consumer whore that I am. And what better to listen to, heralding the return of the sun, than something explosive and bouncy? All of this to say, I had entirely too much fun bumping Crystal Castles on the way home yesterday. Edit: accurate. Definitely not hip, think more like a living plant on an interstaller ship created by a famed puppet maker... Anyway that Crystal Castles song made me think of Four Tet
Something I've been bopping/bumping/slightly moving my foot to of late.

Right now I've got Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats' "Out On The Weekend" blaring through my headphones, and I've also been listening to Billy Strings a lot lately.

Here's a rather mellower, folksy tune I like.
If you like to hear something less aggressive more often, I recommend you The Barr Brothers:
Their songs are generally easy to listen to.
The blues influence can also be clearly heard in their music, which I personally like a lot.

I have a right laugh whenever I see a Jehovah's witness stall out and about handing out the Watch Tower Magazine. "I love Jimi Hendrix" I boldly exclaim! @cerebralpalsyguy
Axel Rudi Pell is pretty cool! Was definitely worth a like. Although my likes are slowly becoming the norm regarding your and Dr. BiPAP Sachin 's posts. "All Along The Watchtower" is a song that works in many versions anyway.
Usually I also prefer the version by Jimi Hendrix. But Dylan's original is quite good, too. Here I got one of Axel Rudi's own good songs for you:

Good call on The Barr Brothers! Thank you paperbackruiter ! I would have been very surprised if you didn't like them because they are from Quebec and you have a good taste in music. There are many great Canadian musicians.
Neil Young still got it and The Sheepdogs also rock pretty damn good!

For those of you who, like me, are still searching, I hope Brant Bjork is right...
This one is the first single from his upcoming album:
If the whole album sounds as good as this, I'm totally in!

Though this tune is about the Biblical tenth plague of Egypt, it should serve as a warning to those who aren't taking COVID-19 as seriously as they should.

I'm not always a rock/metal guy. Here's a pop tune from 2013 I still enjoy hearing.

I already had my metal dose today. That's why I listen to something more relaxed now as well: I think we'd all feel better with this virus.

Anyone ever heard of larko, from North Wales now in manny. He makes some good tunes with some deep lyrics some of you dudes could probably relate to. I'm not keep on the way he goes on, thinking he a badman and trying to flash cash about on his socials but can appreciate the work ethic.
