Green was one of my all-time favorite albums when it came out but I haven't listened to it for years. This song just popped into my head today, no idea why.

I started listening to russian covers of my old favourite songs. So basically double nostalgic: old songs sung in my old language

I just heard this recent tune from this rock band based in Poughkeepsie, NY via Amazon Music. I don't think the lead vocalist is a dev, but her voice is amazing!

P.S Hello again everyone! I hope you're all doing well. I've been struggling myself lately, so I figure I'd bring breezy beats courtesy of this bunch of British babes!

The psychedelic trance music is so kickass it makes me want to burn all my possessions, go around slapping random people in the face, and then smash out the windows on a cop car. I think it is for dancing and tripping but to me it is good for so much more!

Techno is the best for having hot gay sex with a dev. My real love is for jam band music, especially Phish.

Thanks for posting these. I really liked the cover of Simon and Garfunkel, it reminded me what a great song that is.

I've meant to post about the amazing Slavic post-punk coming out, but somehow I always get distracted halfway through. A while ago I sang the praises of Detriti Records and my boy Filmmaker- I actually discovered the label through a Belarussian group called Molchat Doma. They've exploded in the last couple of years, signed to a bigger label out of New York (Sacred Bones) with names like Pharmakon, Psychic TV and David Lynch. Their second album, Etazhi, is just goddamn fabulous. Layers of deliciously gothy echo-filtered vocals on top of thicc synth, and a gorgeous bass player with a lil man bun. One thing all these Slavic post-punk acts have in common is a guitar that sounds like... California surfer-ey? It's bizarre. Like the Sisters of Mercy road tripping down Highway 101. Once I heard it, I couldn't un-hear it. But damn, if it doesn't work.
A+++++
Those last two are on with Sierpien Records, which I really cannot recommend enough to anyone who wants the musical equivalent to nicotine-stained fingers. I haven't encountered anything in their catalog that isn't yummy.
